Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Food and Beverage AND Toiletries Food and Beverage For the room price I would have thought as well as tea, coffee, milk portions, sugar a complimentary packet of biscuits could have been provided. The array of the hot breakfast buffet was impressive. However what was not so impressive was the temperature of the food. It was warm and not hot. The toaster machine did not work properly and 1 toaster machine for the number of people at breakfast was not really sufficient Toiletries It would have been nice to have had 2 of shampoo and 2 of bubble bath even though I was a single occupant. I needed to wash my hair both on the evening of my stay before dinner and in the morning before departing. April 16, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Staff but rooms could do with a update Holiday Inn Leicester, The reception, bar dining room and health club staff were all very friendly and helpful and all the public areas where quite good in that they all looked up to date and inviting however once you exited the lift your faced with a drab looking corridor with dim lighting and then arrived at the room which was clean and tidy but again could do with a refit as its looked a little tired and drab, the bathroom was much the same with a shower that had very little water pressure and in need of redoing. Heath club was good and that area was ok and staff on duty were friendly. Update the corridors and rooms, install a safe and mini bar, sort out the water pressure and I would stay again, but other than that I would look at a alternative Hotel April 16, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Value in Leicester We had a good overall experience with Holiday Inn Leicester. I always appreciate the good size of rooms at IHG hotels with two doubles in a twin room. This hotel is very centrally located which also mean some noise if you leave the window open at night. The room was quite nice, but you could always see some things that could have been even fresher. But a very good ratio on room quality /price. Nice people, internet working, good breakfast and good service. April 12, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sizeable room and great service Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room facilities were excellent. The bed, bathroom and WiFi were top quality. The bar / restaurant was good with a variety of meal choices and also different seating spaces according to whether my mood was to eat alone or mingle. Staff were friendly and easy to talk with. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to usual Holiday Inn / IHG standards Alas, my stay at the Holiday Inn in Leicester at the end of March 2015 was unsatisfactory with multiple issues causing me to give the low scores for my rating of the experience: 1. Room not very clean, including questionable brown marks on bathroom walls 2. Beds very uncomfortable – springs clearly shot, pillows no thicker than a newspaper 3. Room very noisy from the outside. Hardly surprising given location in middle of a roundabout. Arguably I should have checked this before booking 4. Stay coincided with the Annual Convention of an ex-servicemen’s association – so we were subject to a very raucous time of it with a large group effectively having taken over the public areas of the hotel. While none of the them individually were any trouble, the sheer size and noise of the group meant made for a less then pleasant experience particularly in the hotel bar which was extremely noisy at all hours of the day and night. It certainly wasn’t a family friendly environment as a result. 5. Bar area not cleared properly (e.g. dirty tables and abandoned drinks left for several hours) 6. Breakfast service chaotic and unable to cope with the volume of customers – e.g. no one to show us to a table, tables not cleared/reset properly Sadly, this was not a suitable hotel for a family weekend away on the weekend in question. Despite raising my concerns with the hotel manager, I have not received a satisfactory response, despite his promises to call me back after he had made his investigations. As an IHG Rewards platinum member the hotel should really have contacted me in advance of my stay to let me know about the presence and likely nature of the large group and allow me to consider my options. This would have left me with a positive image of HI Leicester and the view that IHG really does value my loyalty. Sadly, I was subjected to a very poor quality experience at this hotel that has disappointed on so many fronts. April 8, 2015
