Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Matches The Best Hotel Anywhere I regularly use Holiday Inn's when they are available where I am visiting. This was my first time staying at this particular Holiday Inn and Suites. While at this hotel I happened to ask the female desk clerk for directions to the May Cinema in town. The desk clear provided me with directions to what had been a movie theater, but was now the chains headquarters, and no longer an active movie theater. The actual theater was close, but by the time we found it, we would have missed too much of the show. We decided to eat, and then see the late show, rather than the other way round. So it was no big deal. On our way to the late show, I happened to mention to the same desk clerk what had occurred. I stressed that I was only providing the clerk with the information that she inadvertently sent us to corporate offices of May Cinema. She was extremely apologetic and I advised that it was not her fault as the office was and still looks like a movie theater. She had advised me that she didn't often attend the cinema. I told her I only advised her in case someone else asked her. After we returned from the movie we found a note from the clerk again apologizing for causing us to miss the show, and providing vouchers for the restaurant, as a way of making up for our inconvenience. This was a totally unnecessary gesture, but goes to show the hotel's and staff's commitment to the hotels guests, Ensuring that their stay is as pleasurable as they can make it. I can state that anytime I need a place to stay in Lloydminster, I and anyone who asks me, will be told this is only place to even consider staying. January 4, 2016
