The Bar/Lounge has limited hours, short supply of alcohol, and the bar tender closes early and will not fill your drinks in a timely manner. The property was under renovation which was not disclosed at time of booking. The construction noise during the day was highly obnoxious. the smoking area was locked in the evening while smokers were still out, causing a lengthy walk to the front of the hotels. Our kids were harassed by the staff at the pool even though supervised by a 18 yo family member. December 18, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Stay Hotel was under renovation. Staff was attentive and helpful. Here are my complaints 1) Night 1 room was 1 floor under the construction which starts to early and ends too late. My desk chair lift lever did not work so chair was way too high and my tv remote did not work. 2) My night 2 room was in the motel section. The curtains were missing curtain hooks and the drapes would not close completely so I moved hooks from the sheers to the drapes to get them to close fully and block out light. The outside door had bad air leaks on a very cold night. The heater could not keep the room warm enough and i woke up in the middle of the night and had to wear my coat to bed to stay warm. 3) Breakfast was only ordering from a menu which takes too long. They need a buffet with omelet station. December 17, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Seedy Hotel/Motel I was really disappointed with the Holiday Inn - Hurstbourne. Not only was our room really questionable (safety wise), but the staff member I dealt with was not at all personable. Immediately upon entering our room there was a huge black spider on the bed pillow that I had to remove. Our room was cold...the heating unit in the room blew out a combination of cold air and lukewarm air. The mattresses were so lumpy and old that the entire bed rocked when my daughter made the slightest of movement. Considering it was a non-smoking room, cigarette smoke wafted into our room from the outside. We had two doors to enter our room, one to the outside, and one into a long dark corridor, both questionable. There were grocery carts outside our hotel door in the parking lot along with 100's of cigarette butts. I walked by the cleaning cart as I was leaving on Sunday and even the cleaning cart smelled like an ash tray. Even our television remote was broken. December 16, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly Staff Staff is always pleasant and very helpful. Hotel is dated, but they are currently updating rooms. My stay was noisy, but bearable. Staff did inform me of the construction when I checked. Would certainly stay again. December 13, 2014
