Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Parking While the lady at check-in told us if the parking lot was full, we could park in the parking garage across the street, we hesitated to use it thinking we would incur another parking fee. From our car, we had to call the hotel to ask if we would incur another parking fee to use the parking garage. It would have been nice if that had been mentioned at check-in. Something like, "You may park in our parking lot, or if it is full, there is a parking garage across the street which will result in no additional fees to you. All you have to do is swipe your room key card." We were not told any of this at check-in. May 17, 2016

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Do Not Host Your Event Here I hosted my wedding and reception here. In short, they made assumptions about what I wanted/what I had expected. The servers took plates of food (a plated meal-not buffet) before guests could finish. When I asked the event director about this, she said they're trained to look for signals. (If a chair is pushed in- so apparently guests can't use the restroom and come back to their dish.) She said they are trained that way. When I asked if they were allowed to think or ask other guests, she said no. They took all of the drinks away with at least two hours left of my event. With there being dancing, I would expect people to get thirsty. They charged 21% gratuity. I know the servers were following orders, but the fact is they took food away that was barely touched and drinks were taken away. If that happened at a restaurant, I wouldn't tip my server 21%. They should cover the gratuity-at least some of it. They said they would it get back to me with an answer about reimbursing a portion of the gratuity. It has been well over a month and a half since that conversation. When I reached out to them, they said they were busy with other events. They charged for parking, even though they were supposed to validate. My sister had to move tables and furniture around because the coordinator had not gotten staff to do it. We did a walk through two days prior to the event and informed them they didn't have enough tables for my amount of confirmed guests. On the day of, my sister had to tell them again that they needed more tables. My guests had to start cutting the wedding cake because their cutter never came. My mother had to tell them to get him. The event coordinator was no where to be found during the event. I am rather somewhat grateful for this because she wore sweatpants and had her hair in a messy bun- that would be appropriate for a day on the beach or working out, not to show up and run a formal event! When I brought this to their attention after the honeymoon-which is when I learned of it all, they made excuses for everything and basically informed me that if I would've had a wedding planner, it wouldn't have been this way. Why is it the client's fault for mishaps and unpleasant and unprofessional service provided by the hotel? May 5, 2016

If, you are in Mobile to attend the "CAR SHOWs at the BATTLESHIP", and have a CAR HAULER/TRAILER, this hotel will not be able to accommodate you with "safe/secure" parking, as their parking lot is small. If, you don't mind your "Baby" #Valuable car# and trailer being parked on the street, you might get lucky and find a spot on the street :# May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I Recommend for Nice Stay Business stay at this property May 2016. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel lobby was bright and clean. Loved the top floor (14?) Nice, relaxing lounge with bar, dance floor, a variety of music played and an AMAZING view over downtown Mobile. Great location; a short 2 blocks walking distance for great food and drinks, museum. The atmosphere and style of buildings reminded me of downtown New Orleans-very nice. CON: Alert! Be Aware! Guest will receive a $10 voucher (as of May 2016) to be used for the breakfast buffet (good food). BUT, drink is NOT will be responsible for cost of juice - orange, milk, coffee, etc. If you want to order from breakfast menu: omelets, oatmeal, hash browns...your $10 voucher WILL NOT cover the full cost of item(s). So, don't show up to dining room WITHOUT MONEY!!! Small issue (amenities) - would be nice and useful to have a bathroom exhaust fan. May 3, 2016
