Always stay here on my trips to Munich. The hotel location is great. If there is one thing I would like to change, it's the old TV sets. They work but it's time to say goodby to them. Will be back next time.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. As we arrived on a saturday afternoon, check-in was quick and easy and we received the keycard for our room in the top floor (11th), overlooking the city of Munich - The view was awesome! Rooms are not too small and are clean.
The hotel is situated in the center of Munich, from where you can reach many sights by foot. To Isartor it takes around 10 minutes, to Marienplatz 20 minutes and to Karlsplatz around 25 to 30 minutes. There is also a S-Bahn station right in the basement of the hotel.
We used the breakfast buffet on Sunday morning at around 10:00 am. The breakfast room is too small for the big number of rooms. We had to wait around 10 minutes for a table. You can choose from cereals, fruit, grilled tomato, sausages, cheese, yoghurt etc. Unfortunately bacon was missing during the 30 minutes we stayed there. A friend told me, when he stayed at the hotel during the week, they did serve bacon.
Overall, I'd recommend this hotel for both vacation and business as it is located right in the center of Munich and provides good value.
Tip: Ask for a room in the top floor (11th) with view to the Frauenkirche and the Alps - Awesome view!

Excellent family offer for for kids staying free with parents.
Two small observations:
* reception crowded sometimes due to group check in.
* Breakfast almost perfect but there was nothing with chocolate (sweet, cake).
Reccomended.

We were on the eighth floor and the views were amazing for the fireworks. The location of the hotel is great for sightseeing and the people were lovely.

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen und verfügt über eine exzellente ÖPNV-Anbindung. Auch zu Fuß ist man in wenigen Minuten in der City.
Der kostenlose Pool ist ausreichend groß und das Hotel macht auch sonst einen feinen, modernen und sauberen Eindruck. Fermseher war etwas klein. Aussicht auf München war grandios aus den oberen Etagen. Großer Kritikpunkt ist das fehlen von kostenlosem Wifi, heutzutage ein no-go. Außerdem ist die Minibar zu teuer.
Sonst ist der Preis für Münchener Verhältnissen angemessen.

A bit old fashioned and no free wifi, otherwise can be recommanded for a stay in Munich.

We have just returned from a leisure break between Christmas and the New Year in Munich, where we stayed in the Holiday Inn Munich City Centre.
Once arriving in Munich the transfer from the airport to the hotel is easy. Straight onto the train connection to the station which is a very short and covered walk to the hotel. The hotel is also a pleasant walk to lots of the tourist spots in the town if you are feeling energetic, if not the trains are almost underneath the hotel!
On arrival you are met by friendly and courteous staff, with the added bonus of all of them being fluent in English.
Rooms are comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. The beds have crisp white linen and very comfortable pillows, which ensures a good nights sleep. The bathrooms are lovely, lashings of hot water to the bathtub and the shower. Tea and coffee facilities, with plenty of tea and coffee. Rooms are promptly serviced each day. The only surprise is that the televisions aren't of a flat screened variety, and although a wide choice of programmes, there are only two news channels for English speaking guests. There are four lifts which means that you don't have to wait very long for transfer to the rooms/hotel lobby.
Breakfast each day was wonderful. So much choice to a high culinary standard. Staff efficiently ensure that tables are cleared promptly, ensuring that there are always tables available for people to sit at. A fabulous start to the day.
We ate in the restaurant one evening. Information in the lift on arrival promoted a three course menu, however probably because our stay was between Christmas and New Year, this wasn't available, and the choice offered was limited. The waiter was extremely friendly and attentive, which made for a nice experience. The dining area is very good. The soup was tasty, and the waiter informed us that chef was feeling 'very generous' and the portion of veal served was huge, but the limited choice was disappointing.
A great swimming pool means the chance to do some serious swimming and exercise.
Safety deposit boxes available, and a left luggage facility are extra bonuses from our point of view.
We have stayed in the hotel before in the summer months, but it belonged to a different chain on our previous stay, which we also enjoyed We both felt that this time the stay was even better, enhancements and improved service made our stay extremely pleasurable.
Super hotel, courteous and efficient staff, superb location - a great leisure break. Thank you.

Hotel & rooms were spotlessly clean. Beds were new & comfortable. Staff was very helpful. Parking was convenient under hotel. Also a subway station was located under hotel. Hotel was less than a10 minute walk from Old Town. It was everything one would expect from a Holiday Inn and more.

Hi,
I have stayed in USA/China/UK/German and I have to say the internet situation in German hotel is the worst one. with ADSL connection, the internet will not be line off around every 10-30 minutes and I even could not send an email out.
The service and people in the hotel is very nice. Only the internet, horrible,,,,

I've stayed at this hotel many, many times. Rooms are always clean and well maintained. Staff is always accommodating. My only complaint this time was the TV reception quality. But this did not matter so much since there is plenty to do and see in Munich rather than watch TV.

I was pleasantly surprised when I was upgraded to the 11th floor city view room because the hotel was full. As always, great amenities. I just wish there were more English speaking stations on the TV other than CNN & BBC.

This is an excellent option in the city, close to the S-Bahn and easy to get to from the airport. Can easily walk to city centre.
Icannot understand why breakfast is so expensive €27 pp or why it is necessary to pay for wi-fi.

The hotel is very well located. The front desk staff are amazing polite and very helpfull.
If you are expecting a plus... don´t! The televisions in the room are very old and the image is not good. The bathroom courtines need change. The hotel has no difference in the rooms, besides being a city view or a city view... so don´t pay more for anything.
Breakfast is good... lack of fresh fruits.
Swimming pool is veeeery cold... so don´t believe that it says warm.

Is was sad to see, that the fitness facilities mentioned in the brochures of the Hotel are not in the hotel itself, staff says, it is in the same building, what means, that it is not possible to reach the facility
in sport dress, but one has to go out into the cold and walk through a busy shopping center to find the place. I think it should be standard to offer the fitness facilities in business hotels. The overall service was as expected.

The location of the hotel is convenient. It connects to the S-Bahn with a tunnel, where the supermarkets are located inside. The rooms are bigger than other European hotel's room. Breakfast is great with many selection.

When I checked into the Hotel, we were not recognised as Platinum Priority Club members, I had asked if there were any upgrades but was told the Hotel was full. I had checked with Priority Club reservations before arriving at the Hotel, and was told that there was a number of superior Rooms for the duration of my stay, what was really disappointing was the Duty Manger was not even prepared to check on the system, she was extreamy rude to me in her attitude.
Because of serious leg Fractures a Few weeks earlier I was forced to use a wheel Chair for the duration of my stay, We were not even asked if we needed help with our luggage, My Wife and Daughter had to struggle with Several Bags in full view of the Reception Staff.
I was also concerned that the Check-in staff did not even note that I was disabled when I booked in, something that all the Other three Hotels We stayed at during our trip to Germany insisted on, in case of an emergency.
I do like the Holiday Inn Munich City Centre, having stayed there on numerous business trips, I will be visitng the Hotel again at the end of November for the Munich Christmas Markets, I only hope this stay will be more enjoyable.

I liked my stay at this hotel. Spacy room, tasty breakfast and in the center of Munich. The staff was ok, but I felt a bit 'a number'; not very personal in how they approach you when you arrive.

My husband and I were taking a vacation of a lifetime but he got sick and had to stay in the hospital. The staff was very helpful and supportive during such a difficult and scary time for us. We are from another country so it really helped to have nice staff help us in our emergency.
Thank you all so much for everything you all did for us! Hopefully we can visit Germany again!
