The location is great, very central. The room was not fabulous, just OK. The bathroom was SMALL and the AC was ok. The weather was mild when we went, so the AC not being great was tolerable, but had it been the summer time... If you are maily concerned about location, its good for that. Just realize it is an older facility. And in the morning you will hear the street noise, so don't plan on sleeping late.

I attempted to drive up to the hotel to check in, I COULD NOT, because the streets are torn up, therefore I had to park 2 blocks away in a parking garage and WALK to the hotel!!! i chose THIS hotel because we stayed here in March 2012, and the parking was easy, the valet just backed the car up a few feet into a SECURE parking area. Of course, THis was NOT accessible at the time I checked in. Maybe you folks need to experience walking 2 city blocks with your luggage in New Orleans!! The room was OK, the TV remote worked poorly. The walls were Paper thin, I could here everyone's conversation at 3am!!!!!!!! The balcony, was a SHARED balcony. There were only two tables outside to be shared by 3 rooms. Of course, my Great neighbor dragged this all around the grated porch at 2 to 3 AM.!!! When I went to check out, I could not receive an appropriate receipt, so I had No true way of knowing Exactly what was charged to my credit card. However, I did receive an email 4 days later to confirm the EXACT charge to my card. this was an Anniversary trip for my wife and I. The city was great, the ACCOMADATIONS WERE NOT!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fred33 Fun hotel in a great location
We have stayed here 3 times, even had a family reunion here. Friendly staff, close to Canal and Bourbon St.. Nice private pool and many rooms have balconies, which is really nice. If you are going to New Orleans, I recommend you stay at this hotel.

The hotel is in a perfect location, not too busy and not right in the line of "trafffic" of busy Bourbon Street.
Lovely courtyard. Had breakfast and it was fine, not overpriced.
Didn't get a chance to use the pool, too busy doing other things but did spend evenings by the pool with a glass of wine.
Staff are amazing, ever helpful, . and so pleasant.
Would I recommend, absolutely, would I stay there again, absolutely.....

Great location - easy walk to everything. Staff went out of their way to help, offer suggestions, and answer questions. Right on a busy street but our room was quiet and comfortable. Pool area is clean and accesible. Would definitely return here on our next trip to NOLA.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by gretags Great location, not great hotel
I preface this review with: I work on the Las Vegas strip, I work with customers all day everyday. I take their complaints and questions seriously, and if I don't have the answers they need/want, I contact someone who can or will have answers.
We arrived Thursday, the man while checking us in, got a call and was dismissive and rude on the phone (words were polite but attitued was terrible# then complained to us about the caller. I said he had the same name as my father his response was "I don't know about that, if you say so". Our room was #408, 2 doubles with a balcony. On Saturday morning at 8am, we were awaken by jackhammering in the street. I know that the hotel is not responsible for the city doing capital improvements, but the response I got to my call to the front desk about the jackhammering left me furious. I spoke to the lady at the front dest, she said "thats New Orleans" while laughing it off, when I asked to speak to the manager because she had no answers, she said "he will tell you the same thing." I said okay, hung up and called the 800 number. She called me back 20 minutes later, gave us room 555, in the very back of the hotel. A standard king with a window that does not open. The bed was a hot dog bed - no center support, there was plastic on the mattress #everytime we moved we could hear it krinkle), the coffee pot did not work, I had to use my batteries in the TV remote, there was 'no signal' on the HD channels.
The restaurant staff at breakfast was great, relaxed and let me sit and enjoy my coffee and morning unrushed. Thank you!
The hotel was clean and in a GREAT location...but for the price and the attitued of some of the staff, I probably wont be back!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JoMack Perfect location in the French Quarter
This hotel is perfect for exploring the French Quarter. Just one block from Bourbon Street, it is still quiet and relaxing. The staff was friendly and helpful and the property is better than what you would expect in an area that has seen so much adverse weather. This was the perfect place for us to celebrate our anniversary!
