Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff From arrival in the car park with disabled parking spaces right in front of the main entrance to our departure, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Our room (disability) was extremely clean and spacious and close to the reception and bar area. The bed was comfortable and the room nicely laid out and nicely furnished. The female receptionist took time to fully explain the facilities available and ensured that the room would meet our needs. Despite being close to the M6 and the bar area there was no noise and in fact we almost missed breakfast the first morning due to over sleeping.All of the staff that we had dealings with went above and beyond what we could have expected to ensure our stay was a pleasant one. I have tried hard to think of something that I could find fault with, but honestly, there was nothing. Food was good, swimming pool was good etc. This hotel and its staff are a credit to the Holiday Inn group and we will definitely be staying again. I highly recommend it. May 24, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very friendly staff, adequate stay Firstly, all the staff I came into contact with were, friendly, helpful and courteous - so we're off to a good start here. I had booked a "Standard Room" - which means they put you where they can. In this case this turned out to be an Executive Room - so a higher grade than expected. The room itself was a little cramped, this wasn't helped by the fact that the desk chair didn't fit under the desk properly - maybe one of the chair arms was a touch too high - but that meant that getting around the bed was difficult without having to push it out of the way altogether. The bed was also a little on the hard side - I like a firm bed but this was too firm even for me. On the positive side, the Air Conditioning worked a treat. The Bathroom had a shower only, which in in an Executive Room seemed a bit Spartan. Breakfast was OK, no problems and a reasonable range of cooked items - I think I caught them between replenishments. The only really negative point was a slight smell of mould in some areas of the corridors. Nothing too much at this point but would probably need to be corrected sooner rather than later. All in all, for an overnight stay and a "Standard Room" I would say adequate but a tad pricey. If I was staying longer, or had booked an Executive Room, I would probably have felt a little hard done by. May 16, 2016
