Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location and quality bed The hotel is well situated near gard de Lyon station, which is very handy for getting across the City. The bedroom was of good quality and the hotel reception was very friendly. For Paris, the hotel is competitively priced. Our only negative observations is that the cleaner knocked over our bathroom products and didn't pick them up and that the bathroom sink was partially blocked. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cancelled room for return trip as I would not stay there again I was travelling across France and booked to stay here on the way there and the way back using my reward nights. First off, first impressions - you can't get into the building as the doors are locked. I presume this is because it's a poor neighborhood or something. Reception, two people on it - one dealing with another guest, the other receptionist ignoring us. It feels like walking through an abandoned conference hall walking to the lift, odd tables with bottles of water underneath them. The room we had was extremely pokey and looked out onto a block of flats. It was actually claustrophobic. There is NO room service until 12 noon and then it stops again at midnight and the menu is tiny with no wine list. We decided to eat out (even though we were exhausted). On check in we asked for a late check out (which we are entitled to as Platinum members) and were told it would be no problem. Room service breakfast - 22 euros for a small piece of bread, a tiny pain au chocolate and a tiny croissant and some butter and jam. I ordered sausages which were inedible. At 12.10 we got a cross receptionist phoning up to ask why we hadn't checked out yet, despite having booked a late check out. When we finally checked out we were asked to pay for a room service dinner - we hand't ordered dinner and it took a lot of point blank refusal as they kept insisting we paid for it. They didn't speak English, and I was rather beginning to wish I didn't speak French. I was booked to stay there on my return trip. I've cancelled and booked to stay somewhere else instead even thought I am going to have to pay for it. So basically, I'd rather pay to stay somewhere else, than stay here for free. April 6, 2015
