Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Usual Holiday Inn Got what we expected (which is a good thing) from a HI. We used this as a stopover en route to Spain and spent 2 nights here. However, some advice and observations if you are going to take a trip into central Bordeaux follow: We took a taxi the first night. It cost 50 euro each way!!!!! If you do want to visit the town centre and don't want to spend 100 euro doing so take the bus / tram. That costs 1.5 euro each way! From hotel turn left out of car park and walk about 200m to "Hipopotomous" restaurant where there is a bus stop (you need the stop across the road from Hipopotamus, not the one on the same side). Take 34 or 36 bus (pay driver 1.5 euro which covers the whole journey including the tram you also need to take). Get off bus at UNITEC bus stop which is also a tram station on Tram Line B. Get tram into Bordeaux central (Hotel de Ville is a good central stop). Coming back is another 1.5 euro . Last tram out of town is about 11pm but beware last bus from Unitec is about 9pm. No posibility to use the spacy rooms with a family of 4, even if one kid would sleep in the parents bed. Our Family would consider this hotel more on our frequent trips to spain if we could stay with 4 in the room. August 26, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful stay near Bordeaux airport We arrived late on a flight from London and rented a car. We choose this hotel for proximity to the airport and easy access to the ring road so we could find it in the dark. We were at the hotel in just minutes after leaving the airport. The rooms were large, clean, quiet, and I really felt like the rooms were deluxe having both refrigerators and bath robes. The furniture in the room was in excellent condition. We appreciated the availability of connecting rooms for our family. Recognition of elite membership was excellent. This hotel was a wonderful end to a very busy and hectic day. August 11, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Excellent hotel let down by the restaurant and food The hotel was lovely, the King Suite was comfortable and quiet. The cleanliness was superb with the rooms being well maintained and cleaned. The television had only one English channel available, CNN, no films or leisure TV. The reception was good. The dining room and breakfast let this all down. We notified the hotel we were vegetarians, on the first night we went to dinner (looking forward to it) we were the only customers. There were no vegetarian options except a soup stater and a salad. The waiter was belligerent and just said could not help, eventually they made an omelette and fries. Thankfully on our third night we found a Dominoes Pizza a couple of miles away which was really nice and a relief after having no proper food in the hotel. The room service breakfast served practically raw eggs- shame as we really looked forward to eating in the hotel and this let the rest of the hotel and staff down as they were really good. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and comfortable We were driving from Germany to Lourdes, and this was one of two stops we made to make the drive easier . This Holiday Inn is located in an urban setting, and is directly off the freeway. Being right off the freeway makes it easy to get to. They offer secure parking having the gate down overnight, and other parking that is not secured by the gate. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Our room was comfortable and spacious. We received a discount coupon for the restaurant located in the hotel where we had dinner. The food was good. There didn't seem to be anything local that you could walk to. We didn't see any nearby restaurants, shops, or parks. Since it is at the end of the freeway ramp, the streets are very busy. May 29, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by last disappointing experience Room on the 1st floor with a connecting door, face lifts, above the reception. clentele very noisy during the stay. I did not like the mixture group and regular customer. Environment of the chamber generates a very disappointing experience. March 9, 2014
