Nothing special. Noisy rooms on the street side. Room decor and furniture is quite dated. Patio door locks are rudimentary add-ons to locks that broke years ago. Pleasant employees. They charged me more than the quoted, reserved, verbally and written confirmed rate and when I challenged this I was informed I had to pay the higher rate. No reason to recommend this property.

Everyone was exteremly nice and helpful. Housekeeping was also impressive. I was back in my room early from work and was going for a run. As I was leaving my room, housekeeping was coming in to take care of the room. She saw that I was going for a workout and left me a gatoraid in the fridge for when I was done. I could not have been more impressed with her. Not only was the room spotless but she took a moment to make my time away from home that much better. THANK YOU!!

We were in town for the Hockey Day in Canada weekend in Peterborough. Kids had a chance to take pictures with Wendal and Lanny in the Lobby. Team friendly hotel and restaurant.

With my profession I travel across Canada and because of the rewards system I tend to stay at Holiday Inn's. This location by far was the worst hotel stay I have experienced. Upon check in I was awarded an "upgrade" the room was directly across from a door people would use all night and in the early morning waking me up slamming at all hours. The condition of the room itself looked as if it could use a good scrubbing and both the sink and tub drain were backed up when showering I was soaking in water up to my ankles. I firmly believe that a hotel doesn't know you have issues until you address it with a staff member. Upon my check out I talked to the front desk about how miserable my stay way and there was just a simple apology no resolution was provided. If my office was not paying for the hotel and rather I was staying for pleasure I would have refused to pay the full price of the room.
The only positive was the dining room at the hotel which had lovely service and excellent food with a wide selection.

I recently stayed here for 5 nights for business. This is obviously an old hotel thats been refurbished but the staff make up for the fact that the hotel isnt quite as glampourous as some others.
pros:
-amazingly friendly staff - left handwritten notes most days wishing me a great day. What a nice touch! I prefer to "untuck" the bedsheets and by the second night the housekeeping staff noticed and didnt tuck them in at the bottom anymore - a nice personal touch!
-the restaurant onsite is amazing and inexpensive and the room service is served elegantly with all the extras.
Cons:
- washroom had no fan and a very low ceiling.
-no desk in the room. Be sure to ask for a room with a desk if youre a business traveller!
