Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location The hotel was nice. The rooms were nice - the employees were very nice. The most enjoyable was the pool area - loved how it had the access to the outdoor pool - kids had a great time. Our room was very close to the pool on the bottom floor which had it's benefits - patio door to courtyard and location to pool, but found that we could hear the room above anytime they used the washroom and shower - it was as loud as it would have been, had they been in our room. Great hotel for sports tournaments - very accommodating to the players and families. February 4, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice service, but in need of updating I've stayed at this hotel 3 times and have always had friendly, courteous service. The rooms are quite outdated. The bathroom fixtures are very old, and the tubs drain extremely slowly. Carpet wearing thin. During this stay, I had a pool view. I was worried about how late the lights would turn off, but it was fine and turned off around 11pm. That said, I wouldn't pay extra for the pool view. There is no free breakfast, but I try to book rates with an included breakfast coupon. The breakfast buffet is basic, but ordering off the menu has always been good. Very friendly servers. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great customer service We stayed here with our children, one whom required a crib. We called ahead of time and asked for one and it was in our room upon arrival. When we got there, we happened to ask about access to a microwave to heat some baby food and a microwave was delivered to our room before we even got our suitcases up there. We even got a lovely welcome note from housekeeping after our first night there. Everyone at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. Great staff! Thank you. January 15, 2014

I have stayed elsewhere this stay after 25 minutes the clerk at the front desk couldn't get me checked in and repeatedly lost my profile entering my information. I recommended several times to load my IHG membership first. I went to a competitor in town, of which I am a member of their rewards program as well. Hadn't stayed there in months, remembered my company and my name and had me checked into my room in less than 10 minutes. I earned over 10000 reward points in the last couple months. I'm not sure I'll earn anymore at the Peterborough location. January 12, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Our Stay at Christmas = Lump of Coal My wife, daughter and I stayed here for two nights just before Christmas Day 2013. This was not our first stay at this hotel but definitely the worst. We had a promising start to our stay - upgraded from a city view to a river view room. Things went downhill from there. Our room was frigid and unclean on check-in. An empty beer can and pills of some kind had been left in the room. We were given discount coupons at check-in to redeem in the hotel restaurant but, guess what? The hotel restaurant was closed on Christmas Eve. It would have been nice to be advised of that little fact by staff at check-in the day before. Trying to find a decent restaurant nearby that was open was an unwelcome and unnecessary hassle. Please, just tell us the hotel restaurant is closed during our stay around Christmas and we can plan accordingly. The hotel restaurant reopened briefly for a buffet breakfast on Christmas morning. However, at $ 12 per person, we expected more from the buffet than what was received - cold scrambled eggs, fried potato patties, bacon and sausage (we think), juice, coffee and a choice of cold cereals. Really? Why bother with reopening? We were not the only guests that were disappointed in their breakfast fare on Christmas morning. At least the view from the dining room was nice. And, to be fair, the dining staff (one waitress and one cook) tried their best to be attentive to us and the other guests. Our room was not cleaned during our two night stay nor did we receive a visit or call from housekeeping to refresh our towels. Any or all of these problems could be attributed to a lack of hotel staff (and guests) during the holidays. But, this is a service business and we didn't receive the level of service expected for the money spent. So, I don't really care what their problem was. I can't recommend to anyone that they stay at this hotel for the holidays. There are other hotels in Peterborough. We will give one of them a try next time and suggest that others do the same.
