First time we stayed here, I was just looking for a hotel close to the airport, but WOW! This location was like a destination resort on its own. Pool and patio area are top notch as well as the room layouts an access. Balconies, ample parking and great staff where a bonus. Have returned numerous times since always with the same positive experience.

Close to all locations we intended to visit. Nice court yard/pool area. Small mall across the street. Minutes from Scottsdale Old Town. They need to work on AC units, don't cool to temp and only one fan setting worked. Fortunately not to hot when visited.

Very happy with everything at this location, clean, easy parking, very nice lobby, bar and pool area, outdoor seating if you just want to relax and not run around after a long flight, we checked in around 7pm took luggage to the suite and relaxed at the bar, thought about leaving for supper but after seeing a few other people ordering dinner and relaxing by the outdoor fire pit it was so nice we had dinner here instead. It's very safe built like a fort only way in is the main entrance. Will stay here again for sure if in the Phoenix area. Only took me about 15 minutes from the Skyharbor car rental location and you don't have to get on the interstate just take city streets.

stayed here before and my kids and I loved it. Rooms are big enough if you have a family of 4 kids. Kids loved the heated pool.

I was traveling to Phoenix for a 2 day on-site customer meeting.. nothing else, just get my stuff done and get back home. Hotel advertised courtesy transportation to the local area. I called the property, explained the purpose of my visit to the person answering the phone and asked if my customer's address was within the range of their courtesy shuttle service. Was told yes, and booked the room at a rate substantially higher than other properties in the area (I did not need a full service property). Arrived at the property and advised the front desk upon arrival of where I needed to go and what time I needed to be there. I was told flat out that they would not provide transportation. I explained what I was told prior to booking the room and was told that that person informed me erroneously. No ownership of the error by the hotel. Will be disputing the portion of my charge that I spent on cabs. Also, room was next to some sort of noisy equipment that woke me up--and I typically sleep through sirens and anything else.

Was only here this time for 10 hours. Staff is always professional and rooms are modern and clean. Outdoor ambiance with gas fire pit in the evening makes this a charming getaway near the airport.

We stayed at this hotel, not realizing we were going to be a suite room. The outer room was VERY spacious..it had a huge TV, with bar sink, fridge, desk and pull out couch. There was was a hinged patio door overlooking the courtyard. The bedroom had two queen beds with a most amazing lighted mirror over the bathroom sink. There was a small balcony off the bedroom which faced a rather busy and noisy street. That was the only drawback of this room. The pool in courtyard was cool...but hot tub was amazing! We would definitely stay here again.

We have enjoyed staying at the Holiday Inn Phoenix Airport North twice now. Both times due to its proximity to the airport, but in both cases we have discussed longer stays at the Hotel just to relax and enjoy the amenities. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is a bargain (don't tell them I said so, they may raise the price). And, we've enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard and at the pool. I'm sure we will be back!

This hotel had everything you could want. The rooms are expertly designed for the business traveler as well as the family getaway.
Skip the $10.00 buffet breakfast as most of the food was cold at 6:10 am. They open at 6.
Rooom service was prompt, and the food was good.
The bathroom amenities are plentiful and the wet bar was all you need for a hotel room with a refrigerator and microwave.
Plenty of lightening and a large work table. Brautiful patio set up with heaters and great ambiance.

I had a charge on my room that I don't believe belong to me, when I was checking out I told the clerk. Since it was very early in the morning I was told to call Tammy in accounting and she would straighten it out. I have called Tammy at least a dozen times leaving messages to please call me back. She has returned my calls twice once when I told her I was on the East Coast so I would only be in the office until 5:00PM EST she called that day at 6:30 EST. The second time was when I called just before a trip I was making and asked her to PLEASE call me back because I wanted to settle this matter and I would not be in the office for the next week. She called the next day after I had left for the trip. The amount that I am concerned about was only 30 dollars and change but I never charge things to my room.
Between this matter and I had to leave my room's door open for at least a couple of hours each night just to cool it off enough to sleep would be enough never to stay here again.-

Stayed here in Feb. 2014. Nice staff, very welcoming. Everything was spotless. Most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. Nice ameneties. The shuttle driver found great resturants for us in the evening and was really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was tastey and lots of options. Will stay there again when in Phoenix.

Great helpful staff, overall great experience at this hotel. However, only one shuttle was running and it was late 15 minutes with departure to airport. I nearly missed the flight.

Beds great! Rooms very clean and cheerful, bathroom SMALL! Toilet leaked all night & "whined" after each flush. Loved the reading lamps on EACH side of bed, unfortunately, mine wasn't working.
I was told that Happy Hour was 4:00 to 6:00 and, alas, that was on WEEKDAYS, we were there on Saturday.....manager made good on the two drinks, yeah on him!
The breakfast was a disappointment, especially for $10.00! It was comparable to a "breakfast included" offer. Not happy with this extra expense....I really think, to be competitive, breakfast SHOULD have been included in the room rate.

I was more than a little dismayed to find a hotel in Phoenix that did not have AC but that is what I found with this one. The only way to cool my room off was to leave the glass door open but then I was bombarded with the sound of all the traffic on the street.
I only ate breakfast at the hotel, and then only because it was included. The buffet was cold and the staff was disinterested in the comfort of the guests (this is me being nice). I had to ask for everything. They were more interested in talking to each other than in helping the guests.
The office staff and cleaning staff were very nice and helpful though.

Nice lobby, bar, outdoor relaxation area, and breakfast. Very friendly and capable staff. My room was quite spacious and very comfortable. I would stay there again.

There was a loud hum coming from the HVAC system that was right next to the window where the bed was. I cannot emphasize enough how loud it was. It was a droning noise that never let up. It kept me up through the majority of the night. (Room 145 if I remember correctly).
I would have mentioned it to the staff, but when I turned in my cards they didn't even bother asking as they were too preoccupied.
The place was clean and pleasant enough, but I won't be spending another night here, as it was the worst Holiday Inn experience I've ever had.

This time I was once again greeted as a frequent user of this property even though I arrived on the last Delta flight from JFK. The flight crew and I were met by staff having already pre-arranged our rooms. It was a most relaxing 'sleep' after over 30 hours of travel time including 23 hours on flights.
I'll be back.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Air conditioning system VERY LOUD
My experience was not very good.
I arrived at night and turned on the AC since the room was a bit hot. The unit was very loud, called the help desk, send maintenance who said it will take him too long to change the blower so they offered me a new room but was not but accepted since the option was stay there.
The fan for the new room was as loud as the first one and maintenance said that there are not many options. I called the front desk, offered to try another one, but since it was late i decided to stay there.
Actually if it was earlier, the option was to go to a different hotel in the area, but unfortunately it was not a good one at 11 PM.
i don't recommend this facility since i can not imagine if the fan is an issue during the winter, i just can't imagine who it would be in the summer time

The hotel was excellent. Received a free upgrade as a Platinum IHG Rewards member. But the room care staff kept not restocking the items in the room. One day no coffee, one day no clean washtowels, and the one that really upset my wife was having to go to the lobby and carry toilet paper back to our room through all the "suits" in the lobby.

While some modifications have been made to what this property offers (no breakfast following the IHG policy) it remains my "choice to stay" when travelling to or through Phoenix AZ. There are plenty of family style restaurants just blocks north of the hotel.

We were in a time crunch to board our plane at 6:30 AM. The shuttle took us at 5 AM. The driver was courteous and drove carefully. The folks at the hotel were accommodating and our dinner was delicious. All in all, we were quite happy.
