Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by poor wifi and dark inside room Although I hold gold ambassador, no up graiding service was granted. Assinged room is small and lack of lighting, curtain is old and durty, therefore I asked to change room whiv\ch is available wifi but it requirement was not realized. Doorman and staffs of dining room had good freiendship manner, but receprion manner is not acceptable including thier knowledgement. July 24, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed, great shower, dated and musty room Depending on my company, I either stay at the Holiday Inn or a much more modern competitor - my preference is for the Holiday Inn because of the grounds, the gym and the friendly atmosphere. However, the particular room last time although up to normal standards regarding the bed and shower - both great - smelled very musty and the a/c temp could not be accurately set. I expect that renovations will soon begin on the old tower block to modernise the rooms and furniture - in the meantime it would be nice to stay in a new apartment sometimes. June 30, 2014

Only negative was the carparking which was restricted due to ongoing works on the hotel and had to walk to and from the carparking area with luggage. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely Time Out I've always enjoyed staying at the Holiday Inn because it's big and safe when on the property. One can enjoy the beautiful gardens for a leisurely walk or a swim in the pool or even just catching a game whilst having a drink at the Gekko Bar. I enjoy the rooms as they are comfortable and size is ample. My favourite feature would have to be the balcony. I love the idea of being able to come sit outside and enjoy the morning sun or evening lights. Service was great. Had a lovely young lady check me in, so friendly and professional. The rooms are now very well equipped, they're airy and comfortable. Improvements are continuing and there's something new to see and enjoy each time. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Old and broken air cond took 2 days to fix Air cond was broken and noisy on day 1. Notified front desk on day 2 on the way to work. Did that again on day 3 since it wasn't fix. Saw that a log was made but nothing was done. 10PM day 3, called front desk, clark said manager would call back. 11PM called front desk again, same promise. 11:30PM called again and got manager to send a maintenance guy. He temporary made it less noisy, gave him a beer to thank him. Day 4, they took the key to move me, promised to upgrade me but instead moved me to a same standard room, said there was no other room. They sent an apology card the next day but there was some other guest's name on it !!!! June 5, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice and quiet time I enjoyed a pleasant quiet stay at the hotel. The courtesy bus pickup and dropoff where efficient and on time, hotel staff were pleasant and attentive. Arriving early on a Saturday morning, I was able to fill in time wandering the craft markets on the grounds until my room was ready. My room was quiet despite the construction going on in the hotel grounds. June 3, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Strive a little more to achieve the expected high standard of Holiday Inn Holiday Inn is one of the better hotels in Port Moresby. The response my IHG REWARDS CLUB MEMBER CARD received at the time of checking in was a pleasant surprise. I got a room upgrade, immediate room allotment and facilities like free WiFi. The rooms are spacious, well furnished and comfortable. Two points about the room which caused concern were - lack of bathroom curtain which made the bathroom wet, and the clogged wash basin. The breakfast and buffet lunch were good, but in the room service, the food specified in the menu and food served were different. e.g. Curry by definition is with gravy. The veg curry served by the room service was dry, without gravy and very oily. The billing at the time of check out too was not as promised and needed intervention. Minor changes will bring this property to the expected high standard of Holiday Inn. May 4, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and great service Everything was excellent and always is, the only downside to any of my visits to the Holiday Inn Port Moresby is the lack of adequate parking spaces, there are never enough spaces anytime I stay, and the people that do park should park properly, if this happened you could fit more vehicles into the small parking area, but this needs to be managed correctly and more space found for parking. The hotel is undergoing renovations and access is a bit difficult, but the location is out of the city but close to commercial offices and the new vision city. And...great pillows and beds! (note: remember, there are many restraints the hotel has, it is PNG not a fully serviced western city, relax and smile you are in the Pacific). October 11, 2013

The staff are always warm and courteous, and the location is good if you need to get to places like UPNG or any office in Waigani. This time was a little disappointing because I asked to change rooms so I could have a room with a desk near an electrical outlet and they refused my request saying they had a large group coming in and needed to accommodate them first. Since I've been a pretty loyal customer I thought they should have moved me before sorting out the accommodation for incoming guests. But oh well... In general this hotel is clean and comfortable. The food, however, is mediocre. The breakfast buffet is good, but the dinner buffet tends to not be very good at all. July 31, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service but why so expensive I stay at this hotel regularly for several weeks at a time. I always enjoy my time there although that could be because I usually stay in African hotels of lower standard. Common complaints with this hotel are the cost of everything, the lamentable hot water situation in the tower block, and the variable food quality. On the other hand, the staff are lovely, the beds are fabulous, and the amenities are great, if limited. The works going on mean there is quite a bit of noise and disruption in the vicinity, but that should be over by September. I am going back in a few weeks and looking forward to it especially as they have now installed wifi internet access and there is a suggestion that some events are planned for long-term guests and, in keeping with all other IHG hotels, for priority club members. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Port Moresby I stay at this Holiday Inn often for business purposes around 6 - 8 nights every 5 weeks. Whilst the hotel is undergoing a major upgrade both staff and management do their upmost to cater for everyone and also to ensure all have a great stay and they are very friendly. Nothing is a problem for the staff and they are extremely polite especially in the restaurant. Great variety of food and excellent service by all staff who work here at this establishment.
