I would not recommend staying here if in the Shreveport/Bossier area stay at the Holiday Inn near the airport it's newer.

I feel sorry for the staff at this hotel. The staff was as courteous as they could be, given the conditions they have to work under. The building needs a major overhaul or complete demolition. I wouldn't recommend this as a leisure stay. I might stay for business as a last resort. There is just no way to get a good night sleep with the windows wide open and no way to shut them.

The only things that made the stay a bit uneasy were small things. The heating in the room was uncomfortable and the sound of the train was annoying at 2:00am. The bathroom was dark and the water ran low. This is a nice hotel, however, it is not worth the price.

The hotel staff and service was the best I've received at a Holdiay Inn. The hotel is dated however, improvements were being made during my stay (carpet). Overall a good value for the price. I will stay here again.

Good things. We were not on the train side of the hotel. Bed was firm. Staff were responsive and trying very hard. TV worked but didn't seem to have HD signal. Location is convenient to I-20 and many things on the west side of the river.
Bad things. The hotel as noted in the title is in dire need of a complete renovation. I did not see any indication that this is planned or as other reviews have noted started. We experienced a few issues with the cleanliness and functionality of our room and the facility. Housekeeping was responsive and at least one issue improved.

We enjoyed our visit to the Shreveport Holiday Inn. We felt we were treated with the utmost professionalism. Breakfast was great, as well as the extra service of the shuttle. Thank you, John.
