I am a regular at this hotel on business but there are a couple of things that need to improve:
1. Room Cleaniness - Bed sheets were stained when I visited! Staff did change them but it was something they should have noticed!
2. Food: Room Service is not up to scratch; everytime I have ordered something, it always comes wrong. Also could do with updating the menu too many burgers!

Another relaxing stay and extreamly warm welcome by the HI in Warrington!, the only thing the hotel lacks is a pool and fitness center.
we always travel with pets and this hotel our dogs just relax immediately, other hotels they are nervous and unhappy. The staff were utterly superb with our animals, very friendly and always make an effort to fuss the mutts :)

A very good impression for my first stay in this hotel.
My only issue and this is nothing to do with the hotel - is leaving the grounds by car onto a busy dual carriageway, which is directly off of a very busy motorway junction can be a bit scary in busy traffic.
I have no issues at all with the hotel and enjoyed my stay.

Enjoyed our stay and very good value, however the front desk staff were not very welcoming and didn't smile at all, it almost felt like the gentleman checking us in didn't want to be there. It seemed a chore what he was doing. The girl with him was of a similar demeanour.
The room was fine but could have done with a couple more pictures up to make the room a little less clinical. Probably could have done with a bit of an update on furniture and decor
A pleasant stay though and worth the money.

We always stay at this hotel when we are in the area it has a friendly feel to it, staff always make you feel welcome. Usually have room service for an evening meal, excellent. Breakfast has a good selection to choose from.

Hotel was clean and staff very friendly. Easy check-in and check-out. Internet slow and not really useable for business. Only one person serving in the restaurant to start with so service a little slow. Bed very comfortable and would definitely use this hotel again.

I don't say this often but the friendliness of the staff was great. Reception and restaurant staff were always friendly and polite. They seemed to enjoy their job which makes a difference.
Breakfast was good.
location great for exploring Chester, Liverpool or Manchester.
the mattress was not too comfy
I would definitely stay here again.

We last visited this hotel in 2008, the service and ambience were great then. To our delight, the present day staff are as great, cheerful, helpful and extremely efficient. The fabric of the building had been maintained magnificently, no mouldy ceilings, no battered skirting boards, no ripped carpets and everything was working. We will be back next year.

1 - One night we accidentally dropped one of your glass tumblers in the bathroom, it didn't just break and shatter, it exploded and the bits went all over the place and shot up into the bath, the sink, our bathroom bags and we were finding bits in our clothing till the day we left. We stay here at least a couple of times a year to visit family who live near by and remember that you used to provide plastic tumblers, these may sound cheap but I feel they are much safer and just as effective for general use and clumsy customers like us (we are all clumsy occasionally). Your staff were willing enough on the night of the incident, but they could not easily provide me with a brush and broom and dust pan to let me clean up my mistake, they eventually located equipment, wanted to help, but I insisted it was an easy enough task for myself to clean up.
2 - My daughter also stayed in another room at the same time, we noticed that she had what I call a king size bed (5 foot wide), this is normal in all other hotels around the country/world we have stayed in over the years. In our room 007 (invalid facility room), you provide a standard (4 foot six inch wide)bed. My wife is the invalid (wheelchair bound) and I am the carer (as well as the husband). We have a 5' King size bed at our home, which gives us the extra width to toss and turn without disturbing each other too much. My wife’s invalid issues requires more room (width) in a bed to allow for better comfort and nights sleep/rest. All hotels boast King size beds nowadays (quote Premier Inn!). We have advised your staff of this issue over the many years we have stayed at your Warrington branch, even after this stay (bet you have no record or taken no action and all your other rooms have kingsize beds) yet still you have taken no notice.
3 - In the past we have had major issues with your invalid parking facilities, your front parking facility has been full and some of your customers will abuse the invalid park areas close to the front door (cars that do not display invalid cards) we have had to struggle in bad weather from your rear car park which is well away from the front doors - during this stay we managed to secure a invalid park area every night, just, most nights there was one space left for us to occupy however we did police the other cars for displaying invalid cards (call me paranoid, but generally I feel the British public can be very selfish when it comes to this sort of abuse), mostly they were not invalid entitled vehicles, no card being displayed. Your staff were informed and promised to investigate the offending vehicles, however this would not help a true invalid requiring parking at this late time in the evening - if they turned up. I suggest to adopt a system that can stop them using the invalid facility at check times maybe (i.e. - do you require invalid parking Sir, Yes I do - kindly display this card - your own design during the course of your stay) or some idea that helps!
4 - your dining room facility is very suitable for the morning breakfasts and maybe the lunchtime meals, but it is very cafeteria in appearance and not very endearing for evening meals, we have tried it in the past and not felt cosy with little privacy
The above points are stated in order for you to hopefully improve your qualtity service a little, this can be achieved at very little or no extra cost (understanding that profit must be a key business motivator) hope it helps

The staff at the hotel make it what it what it is. The hotel itself is very comfortable, clean and has a feeling of welcome to it. he staff are probably the most friendly and jolly that I have encountered. This is my second time at this hotel and I would definitely stay again.

The Holiday Inn Warrington is a clean, tidy hotel as I have come to expect with the Holiday Inn brand. However, I have stayed in many Holiday Inns but didn't find this one as efficient as others. Also, breakfast is rather expensive, especially if you only want fruit and yogurt. Drinks from the bar are also pricey so we went to a nearby pub instead.

This Hotel from the outside looks tired and not welcoming at all. The Executive Room was very poor in comparison with other Hotels and the costs paid were totally excessive for what was on offer.
This Hotel needs a complete renovation both inside and out if it is to compete even with budget type Hotels, which from my experience actually offer a much better standard of room than this Hotel.
There was a funny smell in the room, the smallest double bed I have ever seen in a Hotel and the mini bar was empty!
The food produced for Room Service was absolutely revolting and I was glad to leave this depressing Hotel the next day.

Having had good experience of an Executive room at another Holiday Inn recently, we booked the same at this hotel for two people for two nights. Very disappointed as it lacked many of the facilities which we expected.
There was only one bed (double)
The mini bar was empty.
Only one bathroom for two people and no slippers. Front desk said they had no more.
Only one tumbler and one wine glass. Front desk provided more unmatched glasses when requested.
No biscuits provided, except one Mars Bar.
Only one soap tablet and no face cloths.
A morning paper should be delivered to Priority Club members. It was not.
The food was not up to the standard we have experienced in other Holiday Inns.

As the Hotel is isolated it could do with a pool and gym. Many people stay at the hotel long term on business and facilities as these including health options on the menu are important ..not burgers and corn dogs!

The Hotel is as you would expect of a Holiday Inn.
The rooms towards the back (We were in room 126) are next to the bins / offloading areas so in the mornings expect to hear a lot of noise as lorries back in, bottle bins are emptied, laundry is moved in and out etc.
Also, if you are redeeming your Premier Points be sure to pay for Breakfast in advance, it will save you £5-00 per person.
Other than that we had a good nights sleep (fortunately we needed to get up at about 7.30), the kids loved their breakfast and the staff were extremely friendly.

On a hot sunny and warm night we stayed. First night i had a family room as was down for a wedding. I stayed saturday night last. The receptionist was brilliant. They were overbooked and had no room but she managed to get us an executive room with sofa bed for my 12 year old to sleep in. Nothing was too much trouble. An iron to iron shirt as he had crumpled it. We left refreshed after a very good night in a cool bedroom.
may consider this one on the way home to scotland as an alternative to junction 15 and it was just as good a night as we always have. Glad we had a hotel after a wedding on the saturday night. Thanks.
I never eat food in the hotel as I always visit family and get back after 11pm all the time.

Stayed one night. Hotel was easily accessible from the M6. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Kids ate free at dinner. Would have liked a better view from the room and would prefer free Internet in room, but otherwise first class. Enjoyed the stay and the food. Great to have a large, free, secure car park too.

The receptionist was lovely and very welcoming, the room was tidy and clean and the room service was great. Food was nice, I had dinner and breakfast- all good. The pancakes machine at breakfast was a nice change.

The room was very clean but somewhat dated can't remember the last time I saw a free standing wardrobe in a hotel room. Room service was very poor it arrived late .The girl said she knew we had waited ages so she would take £3 off the bill for the French fries (this was not done on settling the final bill ) and the fries were cold. We were so hungry we just ate what we could.
We decided to eat in the restaurant for our last night, although there were 3 coach parties in we were assured we could eat at 8pm. By 8.40 pm we gave up and did without.

I believe that the Holiday Inn hotel in which I stayed is a very good hotel for middle class people, however it needs to be improved in some ways. First of all, as I mentioned in problem section, the water in toilet wasn't flushing properly and I felt uncomfortable when was told to move to another and had to get my things into my luggage again. I occasionally opened the furniture which was under hydrant and it was very unpleasant to see how dirty it was. Besides, I think it is normal to buy something out of hotel when it is too late and then drink it in guest room which was not allowed. However, overall, the Holiday Inn hotel in Warrington is a good place to stay for people.

The hotel was clean but tired and needing a facelift. Very convenient to M6, nice location to nearby town. This was our first stay at a Holiday Inn, the staff made up for any disappointments they were very pleasant, helpful and friendly.

I stayed 1 night in this Holiday inn and from arrival to departure I was meet with smile and help from all staff.
Reception on arrival were full of smile and very welcoming.
Bar staff very helpful when I won't to change a set meal and the food was presented quickly, and full of taste
Breakfast staff were the most helpful and friendly of all
I have stayed in many hotels and a gold IHG member and this is one the staff need praise for making an excellent and friendly place to stay

The servers at breakfast were friendly, helpful and attentive. Good selection for breakfast and my poached eggs cooked-to-order were spot on both days.

This is a nice hotel and I have stayed here before.
However, after a long day working and choosing my favourite hotel chain I was hungry and wanted a relaxing night.
I ordered some room service and it was a good experience. The staff said it would be around 30 mins. After over an hour, I got concearned and called room service to no avail. I then waited another 30 minutes and still nothing. I was very disappointed to find that the food I ordered did not arrive. The fact that it was not even on the bill at check out displays that it never even got put through.
I probably won't stay at this hotel again as a similar experience happened to a colleague.
I have been a platinum member for years and always try and choose the IHG group.
