Also Do not like that they hold a $50 charge for about 5-6 days on the credit card. Should be aware in A day or so that there are no extra charges July 6, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brand new and beautiful! This hotel is only about 18 months old and was really nice. The other hotels in the same area were much older and dingier, but about the same price. We stayed here for a wedding and were very happy with the room. The shower is awesome!! Proximity to restaurants/bars/highway/etc. was very nice as well. June 5, 2014

The common conversation at the elevator is people going back to the front desk to reset their keys. Coffee in the rooms don't get restocked. Like the title suggests, visit this hotel if you have to but don't make it your first choice. June 4, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Room Not Designed Well I always stay at HI Express or HI, given the chance. This is among the worst HI Express properties that I've stayed in. I was here last year, same time and the pancake maker was broken then as it was this year. Was it ever operational? The rooms are poorly designed: they lack an easy chair found in almost every other room in the world. There is one table lamp - on the stand between the two beds. It is of no use to anyone on the other side of the bed who wants to read. I unplugged the only floor lamp in the room and moved it to my side of the bed so that I had enough light to read. If you want to use the desk you have to cart it back over to that corner of the room and plug it back in. There was no nightstand on the "outside" of the bed - only between them. I prefer a night stand so that I have a place to set a glass or cup, my glasses, my cell phone, my book, etc. The carpet in the common areas is truly the most ugly floor covering I've ever seen. It looks like remnants of carpet and carpet padding that have been glued together. Who is responsible for the design flaws in this property? May 29, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice new hotel Liked the updated decor - attractive newer look. The room did not have a microwave or a fridge, which was surprising and weould have been used. The fitness center consisted only of 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, and 1 bike. The temperature was not adjustable which made it very uncomfortable while running on the treadmill. Would have liked more equipment, but understand why more wasnt there due to the allotted space. The only bad thing about the stay was that our room was at the interstate end and the A/C fan could not be adjusted loud enough to cover the road noise which was constant all night long - tough to sleep through. Overall a good stay though. April 18, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Really disappointed! I had looked forward to staying at this property, but it was priced higher than its local competitor. Finally the were priced the same and was excited. Front desk staff was very cheerful and welcoming. The property is new and has a modern design, until you get in the room. First it has a small desk, two standard chairs, not the comfortable business chair others have. The beds didn't look comfortable and they weren't. I tossed and turned for two nights. Had it not to much of a hassle to repack and unpack again, I would of left. But for one more night it wasn't worth the effort. As a business traveler, comfort is a priority. This hotel does not offer that I'm sorry to say. April 7, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Batavia Business Trip Stayed at the Batavia HI Express for 2 nights in Mid-January while on business. The hotel is convenient to the NY Thruway exit. The desk staff was friendly and efficient, with my room & check-in paperwork ready upon arrival. The room was clean & quiet, and my room (king suite) was very roomy. There are plenty of electrical outlets, and the room was sufficiently appointed with a work desk and a second table for dining, It had a dorm-sized refrigerator and a microwave. The hot breakfast options were a bit underwhelming - not as filling as some of the other HI Expresses I've stayed at, but better than some other chains' complimentary breakfasts. Biscuits & gravy are an option at some of the HI Expresses, but not here. If it's too big an issue, there is a Bob Evans restaurant 1/2 mile away. One suggestion: the HI Express in Waynesboro VA places the plastic utensils in canisters, but the forks, knives & spoons are individually wrapped so when the patrons are rummaging through them, they're not randomly spreading their germs. Nice thought, especially in flu season. I'd like to see that become the rule rather than the exception. All in all, a very good stay. I would definitely book this hotel for my next trip. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly in the Flurries We were very impressed with how well Amy at the front desk was able to keep her composure and sense of humor during the recent storm. While dealing with a sudden influx of people wanting rooms, employees calling in late or not being able to get to work due to the storm, Amy kept a smile on her face and a sense of humor. She was very kind about changing our rooms when the wind was making such a whistle through the vent and window (room 309) , keeping us from being able to sleep. Edith in housekeeping was also very kind and helpful. The hotel is very nice, has a good breakfast and very accommodating staff. We would recommend sealing the windows on the western side of the building better. Overall we were very pleased with our stay at the Batavia Holiday Inn Express. January 11, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel Hotel was really nice. Hotel appearance was very good, Staff was very professional and friendly. The breakfast area was very clean and food was adequate. The pool area and fitness room were very nice. We used both. The room temperature in the pool area was very nice, the only negative comment is the pool water was a little to cold. We stayed in 4 other Holiday Inn's with indoor pools on the trip and the water was much warmer in these. Our overall experience at this hotel was excellent and we would stay there next time we go to Batavia. January 4, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nicest Holiday Inn Express I've seen This is definetly the cleanest, best equipped Holiday In Express I have seen. The pantry was stocked with more items then any other I have seen. The breakfast bar had more options then any other I have seen. The hotel looks brand new, but is over 1 year old. The rooms were appointed quite well. The pool was fun. The workout room is small, but had everything I wanted. Only issue is maybe inceasing vents in the bathroom....a hot steamy shower fogged up the entire bathroom for quite some time. I wish they allowed dogs. Luckily I didn't have mine on this trip, but I'd like to return someday and have my dog with me. December 20, 2013
