I left a radio in my room and rang the following day to inquire about it. The staff could not find it but said they would look out for it. A week later I returned to the hotel and again asked about the radio but they could not find it. The receptionist (he may have been a manager) and I both agreed that this was very unusual and I went to my room. Shortly afterwards the same receptionist came to my room with the radio. It had been placed into the wrong area in lost property. He went the extra bit for me and I am grateful (I think his name began Ma... but I may be wrong).
It retains the trust I have of the Holiday Inn chain.

Change in choices of hot breakfast items would have been good.
Prefer 'free-standing' toiletries.

Other than the restricted hot menu for breakfast I have always found this Hotel convenient and my first choice for location when visiting the area.
Your staff are courteous and helpful and the Hotel facilities adequate although a wider choice of TV channels would be a bonus.
I appreciate I am probably a minority customer, but the choice of firm or soft pillows is great but it would also be good if a neck roll was an available choice that the Hotel could provide if requested.

The hotel location in a relatively calm area provides a good context for a quiet and relaxing sleep after a working day, if you are there for business, and it can be also relaxing if you are there for leisure. There is a recreation and shopping area within a short walk to spare a bus-ride to the city centre. The personnel are excellent but there is nothing exciting about the rooms or the furniture. Overall, price-quality equation is positive.

We always stay at this Hotel when in Bristol as it is very convenient but we were very disappointed the last time we stayed the hot choice is quite small normally only sausages, eggs and baked beans not really what you would call a hot breakfast but given that its included in the price we have learnt to except this and make do,
but imagine our disapointment when we arrived for breakfast on this stay only to discover no eggs and were told sorry but bad luck they had not run out as we were first down for breakfast they simply didnt have any and had not put anything else on in its place so the hot option was now down to sausages and baked beans!!!
I work in catering and would not have the cheek to serve nothing in their place and as there are several large supermarkets in the area there really was no excuse an alternative should have been provided as eggs are advertized as being part of the breakfast choice.

My friend and I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past 12 months and always have a lovely stay. The rooms are clean with a lovely bathroom and staff are always very helpful if you need anything. The hotel is well placed to visit Bristol and has several nice pubs and restaurants very close by, and also has a retail park opposite which is handy if you need some last minute shopping. Would def stay again and highly recommend this hotel.
