Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great end to a long drive Calgary was the last stop on a return trip from Ft. Garry California and it had been a long drive that day from Sand Point Idaho - where we had also stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. On line the only room we could book was 2 Queens and when we booked in I just asked the staff - very friendly - if I could have a king bed instead of the 2 queen beds. Much to my surprise they no only accommodated my request but upgraded me to a King Executive Suite. It was a beautiful room with a separate bedroom and sitting area. After 10 days on the road this room far exceeded my expectations. I was hoping for something close to restaurants and shopping as driving in the traffic had very little appeal. This hotel exceeded my expectations. With the assistance of staff they directed me to South Center shopping center which is just a 10 minute walk away. You just turn left as you come out of the parking lot and take the walkway near a car dealership to the pedestrian overpass. We found a Milestones in the mall parking lot and had a great meal. This stay far exceeded out expectations and was a stellar end to a great trip. November 15, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Terrific service, convenient location, excellent rooms I booked this hotel through an internet booking site and had a problem. The manager at the Holday Inn Express, Kim, handled the changes required and was kind and helpful. She gave me her phone number and email for any future bookings. My stay at the hotel was comfortable - it is a clean, well cared for hotel. The staff and Kim, however, made the difference for me. They were very pleasant, efficient and made everyone feel welcome. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Traveller The man who identified himself as the owner of this hotel was rude and not customer oriented. He was unwilling to accommodate us when the toilet in our bathroom broke. He never offered us another room. Instead he expected us to wait until morning for housekeeping to arrive. He eventually fixed the toilet, but not before insulting us and threatening to kick us out of the hotel, when all we asked for was a clean room with a functioning bathroom. Although this hotel is not representative of most Holiday Inn Express hotels, I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone. November 13, 2014

Most hotels treat teams with a heavily guarded attitude, This HI was very welcoming and accommodating. The facility was great, the rooms quiet and comfortable and the staff at the breakfast room were able to keep up with the players hearty appetities. November 12, 2014
