Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Won't Stay Here Again checking into my room iniially and the balcony door was wide open to birds and insects, many mosquitoes in my room. the shower did not drain and i was standing in a puddle of water 3 inches high during each shower maids would take my used towels and not replace them and not clean the room. after the first night my key cards did not work in order to enter the room. I went to the front desk and asked for new keys, the front desk staff was not very nice and insisted the keys didn't work due to something I had done.They remade the keys and I went back to my room. The new keys just made 1 minute prior did not work either. I went back to the front desk and explained the situation, the girl at the front desk was irriatated by having to help me again. She remade the keys again and accompanied me to my room. I tried the new keys and they did not work. She then used her master key and that worked. She told me that my door was broken and that the maintenance guy would fix it today. This was around 1pm. She told me that from now on in order to access my room I would have to get someone from the front desk to let me in each time. I waited and no maint guy came. I left my room and the hotel for the afternoon/day at 5pm and asked the people at the front desk if the maint guy was still coming. They said he already left for the day and woudl be back on the weekend. The next day,the same thing happened, I asked about the lock, no one seemed to remember that I need to be let into my room anytime I leave for breakfast etc. It took over 2/3 of my stay at your hotel for my door to be fixed. This stay was quite irritating. July 22, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unreasable cancellation fee applied Hotel management would not adjust a reservation to 4 days from 5 due it STARTING in a blackout period. This was despite being told that the extra night was a booking error on my past. The extra night was not in the blackout period. Hotel manager would not allow me to speak to owner or reconsider cancellation fee for the last night. July 20, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Staff attention Staff is very dedicated to customer service satisfaction, and many time they have shown going the extra extramile to make sure your needs are accommodated as much as they can. Some time the Manager needs to get involve and typically she will find the way to resolve even the more demanding customers. Only one delta that if resolve this hotel could be actually the best option in the SW/SE Calgary area.... there is an opportunity to improve WI-FI internet speed..... it is really slow most of the time. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay! We loved our stay at Holiday Inn Express. We were here for a wedding and needed an extra day and chose to stay at HIE. Next time, we would book our entire stay at HIE. The beds were most comfortable. Hightlight for us though was the indoor pool with waterside. Wish we had paid more attention, we would have spent all of our free time in the pool - although poolroom was a bit hot and humid Holiday Inn Express is our first choice for hotel accommodations .
