Overall, our stay was great: the staff were very friendly and helpful - particular thanks to Anita and Ian. The only downside was that, on arriving in the early evening, we had no on-the-spot eating facility. We could either go into the town and find something or order in from a Nepalese restaurant. We took the latter alternative, which turned out to be quite excellent and was very reasonable. Also, I'm afraid the breakfast was rather average, though here again the staff - in particular the super-efficient Ralitza - were delightful.

Poor selection of food.Poorly presented. Cutlery should be on tables.Scrambled eggs only which was dry and unappetising..Very poor quality and cheap sausages. Overall disgraceful no wonder it is included no one would pay for it,

Very convenient location, clean and comfortable. Very busy on our stay with all the disruptions at the Tunnel but staff coped well though they must have been exhausted!

This was our thirteenth visit - we use this Hotel each time we come over to Britain and go out again. The staff are always helpful in scheduling a less noisy room (away from the M20) for us light sleepers. We just like the HIEx concept of avoiding unnecessary frills and providing friendly service. Since our last visit they have opened up the breakfast buffet area to reduce crowding and this makes it more attractive.

Turned down my bed to find menstual blood stains on sheets and duvet cover! Clearly the bedding had not been changed . . . .what about the other beds where this would not be so obvious. Obviously the hotel is cutting corners to save money on housekeeping. Staff reacted quickly to change the bedding but . . . . .

First stay in a holiday inn express as a family and will be our last. Children complained bitterly regarding the comfort of their bed and I had to agree with them. Long waits for food which was poor value for money. No childrens option on menu

Although there was a lot of traffic disruption, including diversions, the channel tunnel was still accessed within about 15 minutes.
