Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay and staff was very helpful! Our family of 4 stayed one night and found the property very easily. We lucked out and got off I-25 at the correct exit and drove right to it. The hotel is located off a moderately busy road, but for the most part it was in a rather quiet area. The front desk staff (Nick) was very helpful and friendly when we checked in, called the next door IHOP for their closing hours when we asked, and was also very friendly the next morning at check-out. Breakfast was very good and the staff person in that area was very friendly and helpful also. The only thing that would have improved our stay would be a softer mattress. I normally need "white noise" to fall asleep and was very happy that there was a thermostat on the wall and we were able to keep the fan on all night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this location to others. August 17, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff Taking a pet to CSU Vet Hospital is stressful. The HIE staff was very understanding and helpful. They made sure our room was on the first floor close to an exit so that we could get our injured dog outside easily. The hotel is close to the hospital so that was a convenience. If you're interested, our dog is getting fantastic care. He's recovering very well. August 14, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean room, decent breakfast, recommend Good first impression when we checked in was that they had freshly made chocolate chip cookies in the lounge that were delicious! We finished them off. :-) Unfortunately we didn't see any in the lounge after that until the day we left. We stayed at this HIE for 5 nights. We had a first floor room (#123) next to fitness room and across from laundry but there was no outside noise that bothered us. The room was clean and in good shape. The only issue on the room condition was the curtain in the shower/tub needed the top screws to be re-anchored because both ends rotated down which caused the curtain to slide towards the middle a bit. Water then got on the floor because of the gaps. I did think it was a nice touch that they had the slow closing toilet seats so you could just start it down and let it go. They did a good job cleaning our room but I don't think they vacuumed every day as a couple days I noticed crumbs by a chair that were still there after the cleaning. I was surprised they didn't push the environmental side of things as many hotels do. In the bathroom we would hang a towel or two up on the door so it wouldn't have to be washed but they still took it and replaced it. The pool was pretty good. The area didn't smell like chlorine and was adequate size. The jacuzzi was clean and hot water but I didn't like that it would only run for 15 minutes and it wouldn't start up for another 10 - 15 minutes. The breakfast was pretty average but sufficed. Sausage gravy most days with biscuits, scrambled eggs, basic omelette and pancakes via their instant pancake maker (pretty cool) were the main offerings. They did have pretty good cinnamon rolls daily too. They did a good job of keeping the food stocked except on Sunday when there were a few more people eating but it took literally 30 minutes for the sausage and eggs to be replenished so a few people just gave up and left. The employees were all friendly and helpful when we asked them for anything. The hotel itself is easy to get to and is by several restaurants. The room did not have a fridge and I didn't see a microwave in the dining area. We paid $10 (just one time - not nightly) for the fridge which I didn't think it was a big deal but it would have been nice to be included. The internet connection was okay but it was functional enough for my son to play games and for me to get caught up on work emails so it was adequate. Overall, I would recommend this hotel again. It is a bit far to drive for Estes Park trips, but if I wanted to stay in Fort Collins again, I would definitely book it with HIE. August 1, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just "so-so" for us We stay at Holiday Inn Express as often as possible and this was the most expensive, most difficult to find and least hospitable HIE that we have ever encountered. We are usually greeted with at least a couple of bottles of water and some snacks or cookies, but nothing here. Our "bonus" for being a Rewards Club Member was the offer of a late check-out. Normal check-out is 11:00. Not much of a perk! The beds were comfortable and my request for a room on the 1st floor was honored. July 30, 2014

We like to stay at Holiday Inn when we travel because the beds are really comfortable, and the room is always clean. We enjoyed the breakfast they furnished because we had to be on the road early and it saved some time, not having to stop again. The staff was friendly and helpful. July 25, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel and staff. I am on a 2 month "retirement ride" on my motorcycle of the western United States. I had to make a stop in Fort Collins for new tires on the bike. This was a convenient hotel as it was close to the dealer. I try to stay at upscale hotels and motels on my travels and this turned out to be an excellent choice. With the guest laundry available I also caught up on my laundry needs. Hotel, access to local amenities and staff was excellent. If in area I would definitely stay at this location again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Unimaginably clean and Friendly The room was as clean as it had never been used. I forgot to pack some items and the staff assisted me in getting those things I needed. They were also helpful in providing me directions and recommendations for the local area. The room did have a musty smell to it when I arrived, but running the A/C for the first hour fixed that. The room I was in was exceedingly quiet and the television gave a HUGE selection of channels. The satellite signal did cut out during the storm, but that's to be expected, and it promptly returned as the weather cleared up. Breakfast was tasty and had a lot of options. July 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great accommodations but WiFi poor. We had a King Suite and were very pleased with the accommodations. Clean, comfortable, and neat, all employees very professional, and great breakfast. WiFi was minimal and we were having a hard time getting on (smart phone and tablet). We called the front desk several times but even they couldn't connect us when we came down personally. We were told that if too many guests were using it, slow connection would happen. Slow connection at 5:00 a.m.? Needless to say, I couldn't Skype my granddaughter during our stay. They need to beef up their WiFi. July 16, 2014

The breakfast was good every morning and we had excellent service from the staff. The rooms did not have a mini-frig but upon calling the front desk we were given one. The rooms were very clean, the hotel was convenient and we were pleased with the entire stay. Definitely recommend. July 16, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Our Fort Collins hotel This is our 3rd stay at the Holiday Inn Express - Fort Collins. We have never had a bad experience here. The hotel is nice and clean and so are the rooms. I like the area of town that this hotel is located. It is near many shops and not a bad drive down to old town Fort Collins and easy access to the interstate. This is the only hotel I will stay at when I am in the area because I have never had a problem there. My only suggestion would be that every room should have a refrigerator, not just the suites, and more outlets for charging all the electrical devices that families seem to have these days. The staff opened up a continental breakfast very early to accommodate the bicycle riders at 4:45 AM. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. There was an issue with our air conditioner, but the front desk staff helped resolve the problem quickly. I plan to return to this hotel next year for the MS bike ride! July 4, 2014

I chose this hotel because it was basically across the street from where I was going to be in meetings for 3 days and I am familiar with the Holiday Inn Express brand. It was everything I expected it to be. Room was spacious, comfortable, bath and body works toiletries. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was what I expect from HIE, which is plenty of options, none of them anything to write home about. It was a fine hotel to stay in for business. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Bicycling Location! Very convenient for bike riding all over Ft. Collins. The room had good light, love that the windows open. Very comfy. We didn't like that we had to pay $10 extra for our stay to have a refrigerator in our room, but glad that we could have one brought up.. Right near the entrance to the bike path. We like real oatmeal and boiled eggs for breakfast. We try to avoid sweets and processed foods, so we rely on not having those things in the breakfast bar. June 27, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Average amenities, high price, good location This hotel is in an excellent location, close to many activities. Beds/matresses were average comfort, nothing special. No refrigerator or microwave! Our family saves money when traveling by using these items so this was a major disappointment, especially when paying a higher room fee. Nice swimming pool. Because of this I was not able to get very much work done. Also if you want a room with a refrigerator, it isn't standard, so be ready to pay more. June 17, 2014
