Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Please Look Elsewhere I didn't expect 5 star service from HI Express Geneva Airport, but regardless this hotel was a letdown. 1. The elevator had a very foul odor of urine and it was not a pleasant experience taking the elevator to the rooms 2. On two separate occasions, I had to call the Reception to inform them that on our floor (7th Floor) there are kids running around in the hallway and it was very disturbing. The same continued at around 11 PM where the people in the rooms nearby where very vocal and kids still continued to run from room to rooms in the hallway. With an early morning flight out of GVA, my wife and I could hardly sleep under these circumstances. Based on my recent experience here, I can almost guarantee that we will not be returning, nor will I be recommending the Holiday Inn Express at GVA airport. June 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good choice for Geneva area very happy with the HI Express at Geneva Airport...convenient location, staff was helpful and efficient, room was quiet, spotless, and comfortable (especially the pillows). no concern about airport noise (we heard no planes at all) and very slight noise from the rail line behind the hotel (barely would have to be purposely listening for a train). breakfast was good, although a slightly wider variety (maybe some hot choices such as oatmeal, scrambled eggs, etc) would be nice. but that was at the end of a long Swiss trip with one-too-many cold cuts and cheese oh, and the free airport shuttle from / to Geneva airport was very reliable, so quite grateful for that. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Good but Expensive It's good for accessing from/to the Geneva Airport because the hotel provides the shuttle bus every twenty minutes and near from the hotel about 3 stops away. However, it was really expensive even though it is not a kind of elegant and luxury hotels. It is a kind of business hotels but the price was similar to other luxury hotels. I'll also stay this hotel next time again for one day(just arrived day) because it is near to the airport. May 26, 2014

Was told to use the hand towel ! ! ! - Lack of available safes in the office. No safes in the room. The only safe available was tiny and held no more than my passport and a very small folder. On the positive - very reliable shuttle service to/from the airport. Very friendly drivers. - free internet access due to IHG membership. A big plus. May 19, 2014

Generally good and don't do responses like this request asks normally, but If I was a manager, customer relations type, then in particular for Airport locations, please seek a room door closing suppression would tick a huge box for me and am sure others! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable bad and bad service The staff was very unfriendly (except one lady) did not like to help. No help with suitcases. Unable to get a wake up call . when I called for help I was told that it easy to do through the TV. I am not savvy about TV and could not sleep all night concern that I will miss my flight. Very unfriendly and unhelpful service. If this is Holiday Express treatment, I will not stay there again February 13, 2014

Shuttle service to the airport was our reason to choose this property and it worked like "Swiss" clockwork i.e. excellent. Nice that breakfast was laid out early and an express version of coffee and croissant provided for those that left before 6:30 a.m. (Casino next door will give one free drink if you show your room key.) Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by not very happy with this hotel they offer to me room upgrade - but there were not amenities. the other point was options for dining. I didnt know there was no restorant inside, so I asked in the reception for any recomandation for a nice restorant close to the area. I took a taxi which cost a lot and the driver was moving around the city - 50 swiss francs in the end. the "restorant" had nothing to do with what hotel has written for it, and in the end i finish to pay almost 40 swiss fancs for a sausage and patatoes. for anyoneelse in my place - i could recomend this : if you are just for a stop over for one night better go and have something small at movenpick hotel instead doing my mistakes, or better look for a hotel close to airport who offer also dinner. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Not your usual airport hotel We recently spent one night at this location (Geneva airport) and couldn't have been more pleased. The room was your basic motel room size, but it was such a smart configuration. A cozy love seat was perfect for TV viewing. Even the TV was remarkable, boasting the best selection of English language TV of our entire 2 week tour. The room was incredibly quiet - and you can tell they made soundproofing a priority. Grated, we were in room facing the trains as opposed to the busy street side, but you wouldn't know a train was passing by if you didn't actually see it happen. The staff was friendly and efficient, even personable. The front desk even placed a food delivery request from the local pizza parlor on our behalf, taking the worry about communicating in a language we don't speak. I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express here in the US before and have never been disappointed. But this location, just minutes from the airport, was so quiet we never heard any airplane noises at all during our stay. The bed was comfortable enough and we appreciated having a choice of both firm or soft pillows. We are used to a king size mattress - and only queen seemed to be offered there. But the linens were cotton and soft. If you need a night's lodging near the airport I don't think you could do much better than this HIE. Even the price was reasonable in a notoriously expensive country. We got a good night's sleep and the free shuttle was quick and on schedule which helped us make an early morning departure with time to spare. We can't comment much on the breakfast (included in our stay) because we had such an early flight and needed to leave as they were setting it up. But the one bite of the fresh croissant I grabbed as we ran to the shuttle was darn good. Our overall impression was so favorable that we would most definitely consider HIE for our domestic travel needs. While not luxurious, the room was pleasant and served our needs quite well. The primary shortcoming was the timing of the airport shuttle and the breakfast. One primarily stays at an airport hotel because one has to make an early flight. Since the earliest shuttle leaves at 5:50 am and breakfast is not until six then these have to be skipped when trying to get to a flight before about 8:30 to allow time for the sometimes rigorous security lines now prevalent. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Stay at Geneva Holiday Inn in Nov/Dec - Check-in and check-out ate good experiences. - The view from the room was the railway track sometimes the train noise can be a little distraction. - Breakfast is good but there is no hot breakfast for the cold weather, it will be good to see waffles, bagels, pancakes on the menu. - No food during the evening can be a problem since you have to necessarily go out or order in - Wifi in lobby is excellent; whereas wifi in room is pathetic and is riddled with few problems....the sad part is no staff is willing to take responsibility to resolve the issue - One day the lift was not working and I had to come down the stairs....there is no way to contact reception from the lift lobby - Staff is very courteous and is willing to be friendly - The issue of FREE PASS or VOUCHER for train/bus is a very nice gesture and highly appreciated December 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good experience The only negative aspect that I have encoutered was the fact that the airport shuttle does NOT run every 20 minutes (I once waited 35 mins in the lobby). A bit annoying, but not a big deal. Otherwise, everything was good. The room was decent and clean. I slept well on the that bed. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Staff was absolutely great -nice, well informed and eager to help-, breakfast was good. There is a shopping center with a great restaurant just two blocks away (very affordable), and it's possible to be downtown in 10 minutes by tram. November 27, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by no wake up call, no early breakfast, unpleasant early morning staff There is no wake up call in the hotel, which is really strange for an airport hotel. You ar e told to use the TV, but no explanaton is given how to use it. The TV in my room was cranky and worked on and off, at one stage fusing out altogether. I had an early flight and was afraid to miss it so I woke up all the time,and had a terrrible nights sleep. Breakfast starts late so they offer a drink and stale coissant to early fliers. I think in an airport hotel breakfast should start relatively early. There is also no early morning shuttle, but a bus pass is provided. Fortunately at night on arrival the staff was helpful said the bus stop is under the bridge. In the morning despite repeated questions to the staff how to find the bus stop, he was apapthetic and said go out to the road and you will see it. Of course it could not be seen, and I have no idea what a Swiss bus stop looks like. In fact it is not easily seen at al land some walk from the hotel. Fortunately I saw the bridge in the distance walked to it and found the stop, which was inviseable form the hotel and also unseen from the road. November 18, 2013
