Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel in a great location The hotel is a great hotel in a great location. It's much closer to the railway station/interchange than the map suggests. It's a great city centre location, ideal for shopping (and business), visiting Hull’s tourist attractions, and within walking distance of the Old Town and the Museums Quarter - and The Deep. Hull and the surrounding area is fairly flat, no hills, so ideal for those who struggle with hills, and wheelchair users. All of Hull’s visitor attractions are wheelchair accessible, with the exception, for obvious reasons, of the Arctic Corsair and Spurn Lightship. The hotel is minutes walk away from the railway station, with St Stephen’s shopping centre on one side, and the Albermarle Music Centre and Hull Truck, one of Hull’s two theatres, on the other side. The hotel staff were, without exception, friendly and helpful. For those arriving by car, a secure car park is attached to the hotel. The selection available for breakfast was perfectly adequate, catering for most tastes. The hotel is clean, bright and modern, and the breakfast area/bar is relaxed and friendly, with a good atmosphere. I'm a wheelchair user, and had booked a wheelchair accessible room. The room was a good size, with plenty of room for me to manoeuvre around, even in my wheelchair, which is a fairly large powered wheelchair. The bathroom too was fully accessible, with a level access shower with a wall-mounted shower seat. It had two wash basins - one standard height, and the other a low level one. The bathroom had all the required grab rails, including around the WC, and a fold-down rail. The hotel has two lifts, both fairly large, which have no problem accommodating wheelchairs, and a few foot passengers too. Our room was at the back of the hotel on the 4th floor, with a view out to the west of Hull, with the Humber Bridge just visible in the distance. Though the room overlooked the rear of the railway station, the top level of the attached car park, and with Hull Royal Infirmary fairly close, so lots of ambulances, etc., the insulation/sound-proofing was good, as there was very little noise from outside with the window closed. There were nets at the window, and the curtains were lined ‘blackout’ curtains - good for those who like a dark bedroom. The room was simply furnished, though clean and tidy. The bed was fairly comfortable, with a choice of soft or firm pillows. Hull is a very welcoming and friendly city - well worth a visit, and the hotel’s an ideal base for exploring the city and the surrounding area. June 16, 2016

The hotel was conveniently located in Central Hull with access directly from St Stephen's car park (for which you get a discounted rate but only for the overnight portion of your stay - if you arrive in the afternoon and pop out in the car you have to pay the normal rate) The room was fine and had all the basic amenities expected but the beds were unbearably soft, there was no lumbar support at all and I got up in the morning with a very sore back. This could just be a personal preference - I was with my teenaged daughter and she loved the soft bed. June 15, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay, friendly and attentive Great hotel, stay there for business, right in the middle of the city. Only gripe is the mattress, could be better! Rooms pleasant with good heating/cooling, clean tidy and fresh. Staff wonderful and very helpful. Had internet issues, router had failed but it was resolved and all was well. Will be back soon! Rooms were nice and tidy, we had a family room and everything was laid out upon arrival. The one big disappointment was the cooked breakfast which comprised of sausage, scrambled egg and beans. We were traveling down to Wembley so a nice breakfast would have set us up nicely, this was very poor. June 3, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding! Having travelled for six hours, I wanted nothing more than to spend a few hours relaxing. This was made all the more easier by a swift yet welcoming and informative check-in. The room was immaculate and generous in space, allowing me to spread out my luggage and still have plenty of room to manoeuvre. I was pleasantly surprised by the dozens of TV channels on offer, resulting in some much-sought channel hoping as I wound down from a tiring morning. The electricity being triggered by the key-card system doubled up brilliantly as an all-in-one switch and a gentle reminder not to leave the room without the key-card. An excellent night's sleep followed by an expectation-exceeding breakfast capped off an amazing first impression as a Holiday Inn newbie. I have no doubt I'll be visiting again. June 1, 2016
