Wonderful hotel for wheelchair accessible services. The pool has a lift, the beds are a perfect height, the toilet was the perfect height, and the staff was VERY accomodating!

The best part of the stay and the reason I would recommend this place is for the rooms and the general overall appearance of the Hotel. It probably helps that this is a new HI, but we found the rooms to be clean, comfortable, and roomy. The breakfast choices were very good (even though there were not enough seats for the number of people). The only criticism I have on breakfast is that items that are not kept in containers (like yogurt, cereal, etc) need to have some sort of allergen indicator. This is not a gripe with this place, it's a gripe in general about MOST places. This limited what our son (with peanut/tree nut allergies) could eat. The pool/hot tub area was likewise clean and our kids (and even a few of us adults ) loved it.
On the negative side, customer service was lacking. I had three rooms booked for our party and each group was paying for their room. After checking our statement, we realized that we were charged nearly $50 more (each) for two of the rooms on our reservation. It was corrected (good) but the front desk person acted like it was a bother to get it changed even after showing the paperwork with the reserved price. On the morning of our stay, I called the front desk (from my mobile phone since the room phone did not work) to request a plunger and was told to come get it myself. I was taken aback and simply said that I was in room XXX and that one should be delivered at their earliest convenience. The exasperated response from the front desk was (and I quote), "Well, I guess I can walk down and tell housekeeping". This is NOT acceptable, especially the attitude.
