Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Carpet and mold on curtain Carpet in hotel needs to be replace as soon as possible. Air conditioners need cleaning and curtains need to be replaced or cleaned. As club members we always stay at Holiday Inn Express and have been impressed by the up keep of the hotels. This hotel was disappointing for a Holiday Inn Express. October 15, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room at little rough The hotel is kept nicely with a great exterior approach therefore I expected the room to be the same. The room was a little rough. Carpet was dirty with a large square of replacement carpet cut and installed into the centre of the room. Not a big deal however the room as a whole certainly did not align with price paid. I will be trying another Holiday Inn my next trip because I find that most Holiday Inns are top notch. October 15, 2014

I wish there was more insulation between the rooms as there was significant noise however overall this stay was much better. October 13, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Barking Dog - No Maid Service I travel extensively and have used this hotel in the past. I expect it to be the last time. We stayed two nights, listened to a barking dog both nights. On our return to the hotel on Saturday night we found that housekeeping had not bothered to clean our room. Quite aggravating but a trip downstairs got the supplies we needed. I know beach hotels take quite a bit of abuse but I travel extensively and know that high use hotels can be kept clean if you try. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Family Fun! My family and I had a great time at the hotel. Most of the staff was very friendly and went out of their way to assist you. I guess you can't base your whole experience off of one staff member having a bad day. Absolutely everyone else was amazing! Even on a holiday weekend, we were able to have peace and quiet. The locations is about 1.5 to 2 miles from the beach and right across from the broadway at the beach. The hotel was clean, breakfast was hot! Bring money if you want to wash your beach clothes before heading home. Noise level was not bad at all. It was your average hotel. It is definately not as bad as some of the ratings made it out to be. We enjoyed our vacation! October 9, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfortsble and friendly On the whole, our three night stay was fine. Clenliness and service were good and there seemed to be enopugh amenidies for those who chose to use them. I did miss having a comfortable chair to sit in to relax or watch TV. Also the lighting was very poor for reading or looking at maps. Finding the hotel entrance was a bit of a chalange and the breakfast food didn"t seem to up to par. But these are fairly minor concerns and there are ample good points to off-set them. The prime one , in my estimation, is the location. It is well situated for easy access to just about anyplace you want to go( unless you want to be on the beach, which it isn't) For sure,we would return if we were in the area again. October 7, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Holiday Inn Express I have been to over half a dozen Holiday Inn Expresses when I travel for military training. I typically have a great experience and have always recommended Holiday Inn Express to others. However this was by far the worst lodging experience I have ever had in my life. The toilet in the first room I was booked in did not function properly and the room smelled awful (Room 103). After moving to a second room that appeared to have blood stains by the bathroom sink (Room 327), I knew that would be my last night at that particular Holiday Inn Express. I was not scheduled to check out until three nights later but I refused to spend one more night there. September 22, 2014

We had not been there in years and wanted to see the growth. The Holiday Inn is in a great spot near the Broadway which we enjoyed very much. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Staff is probably keeping this place open Stayed over Labor Day weekend '14 The room was filthy...not swept, windows were greasy, dust on furniture to where it looked like months and months of build up. On positive side, the staff were great. They couldn't correct the problem quick enough to please me due to the holiday, but they were great overall. September 4, 2014

The people at the office were nice and friendly always helpful. The breakfast was okay, and was always replenishing before 10:am. The only disappointment, this was suppose to be a dog friendly hotel, and they did not seem to understand that dogs bark when they hear doors slamming and people talking in the halls. They called me 2 nights in a row telling me my dogs were barking when I went out for dinner. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay. September 2, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never again My bad experience started on the first day, I arrived at the hotel early around 9am due to my plans changing due to my daughters illness, check in was at 3or 4 pm but I asked if there was something they could do to get me in a room earlier they said they could not but I could keep checking which I did & gave up after 4 hrs. They wouldn't even take my cell phone # tom let me know instead of checking every 30 minutes which most hotels do as a courtesy. I finally got in the room at 415, I am a Platinum member & they could have tried a little harder I even offered cash but that id not do no good either, also the breakfast area was cluttered & messy & was always running out of items, the staff & Mgmt. at this hotel are below standards, this hotel is like a short stay most people stay for one night & check out a stop over. I will never stay at this hotel ever & will recommend people to look else where.. September 2, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Overall this a good place to stay. Close to most things families want to see while at the beach. Not too far from the public beach access points. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Breakfast was decent, but not something to get excited about. I think the cost of the room is a little high, but it's all market driven and everything at the beach is pricey, still a bit much for a hotel that's not on the beach (or at least across the street from the ocean). Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights for our summer vacation to Myrtle Beach. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and wished that we had spent an extra night here instead of the beachfront property we stayed at for the last night of our vacation. The hotel was very clean and smelled nice when we walked in. The staff was very friendly. The pool was one of the largest we have seen at a hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bedding was a double-sheet duvet, not those scratchy polyester coverlets that always make me question a hotel's cleanliness. I hate those! The pillows and bed were very comfortable and there was a lot of space in our room, even for a standard room. The free breakfast was one of the best we've ever seen at a hotel. There were so many options to choose from, including fresh fruit, oatmeal with mix-ins, eggs and sausage, and fresh coffee. I would definitely stay here again. August 22, 2014
