Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Air Condition / Heating noise My wife and I stayed at your hotel on the above date in room 118. The room was clean and well prepared. We were welcomed well and the reception desk were very keen to please to make our stay comfortable. What let your hotel down was the air conditioning unit that I had switched off as the room was adequately at temperature. The unit after 30 minutes then started to make low electrical sounds like a lot of chattering. It was late and we were both very tired from our 5 hour drive and didn't relish the disturbed sleep. The noise would go on for an hour then stop for 10 minutes all through the night. We had our breakfast and alighted our room on time and spoke with the deputy manager who informed me to contact you direct. What we said to the deputy manager is that he should when it is very quiet in room 118 with the air conditioner off then listened to the noise it makes to then realise how it would interfere with somebody's sleep. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very Noisy Room Requested a quiet room when booking and then again on arrival and we were probably given the noisiest room in the hotel, very poor breakfast, car parking charge very reasonable. the bed was comfortable but the bathroom towels were the size oh hand towels and the quality of the toiletries provided were very poor. Terry on reception was friendly but did nothing about our request for a quiet room. We called the night prior to arrival to ask if we could book an extra night and was told we would have to extend the stay on line not very helpful and glad we did not this and stayed at another hotel instead. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK Fairly decent. lights didn't work and key didn't work but staff helped. Breakfast was OK, no bacon however, and the quality of cereal wasn't great. But why be picky. The room was clean, mattress was well nice and the pillow choice was appreciated. Too hot in the right, though, but at least I got the chance to turn the heating off. February 7, 2016

The hotel is ideally located for the town and the quay with plenty of parking. Spotlessly clean with cheerful, helpful staff and as normal comfortable rooms, Breakfast was good, hot and plentiful with a good selection I know people complain about the lack of bacon but quite honestly there is plenty of choice and for the price we paid we couldn't fault it. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Helpful staff - but room average The staff were generally welcoming, although did not offer a drink or points in line with membership rewards. Also helped by ordering a taxi the next morning. However, the room was not quite to the standard of other Holiday Inn Expresses i have stayed in recently. Cleanliness could be improved as well as the noises periodically coming from the air con. May have just been a bad room, so won't stop me staying with IHG in the future. January 29, 2016
