This is the second time we've stayed at this establishment and we came back because it met all our needs in a friendly and comfortable package, with easy access to the motorway network. This Holiday Inn Express is one of the better ones, with it's clean, bright, spacious reception and lounge areas. The rooms are also clean with a bright, clean, shiny bathroom and shower - which was heavenly in the morning before breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for a nice relaxing evening with great staff and a great breakfast - the perfect way to start your morning. Thank you! :o) December 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great hotel for business stop overs and leaisure have stayed at this hotel for around 6 months and cannot fault the service from the extremely helpful, friendly staff. has been a great base to attend work from. the only problem being a near constant resident is the variety of choice from the menu, however, there are plenty of other options locally. would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Smelly Room and no heating - Poor follow up service Stayed at the this hotel on December 1st for one night. I have stayed here several times before. Got checked in swiftly by courteous helpful staff and given a room on the first floor. Showered quickly and left for an evening meeting. When I got back there was a horrible smell in the room like a blocked drain. I tried to mask it with deodorant as I did not want to move rooms but it did not work. The duty manager was very helpful and offerd a twin room as replacement but I declined as I cannot sleep in a single bed. She managed to get me another room and I was told it was an "out of service room" - it had no heating. The duty manager was very helpful and credited me 2000 points to my account for this inconvenience. This amounted to a 10% discount. The room was freezing. I did not sleep well at all because of this. When I later complained via email I had to wait over a week for a response and was given some more points. In all about a 20% discount for a poor nights accommodation which I believe is very poor customer service . I emailed again and asked the manager to reconsider and have not had a response now in 3 days. So in summary...Good staff - room could be a hit or miss and dont expect a quick follow up from the manager. I cannot recommend this hotel to others as I wont be staying there again myself.
