Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bobcat951 Inexperienced staff, uncomfortable beds and noisy hotel!!
I want to start off by saying I'm a Platinum member and I stay at Holiday Inn Expresses all year long and have to say this is the worst experience I've had at one. Guy at front desk messed up 1 co workers reservation which almost lost him his room because hotel was full. Other co worker had wrong rate even though we all booked together and have same company rate code. I was woken in middle of night from calls to my room from front desk 3 times in 8 nights by mistake. Requested upper floor but got stuck on first floor on highway side which is very noisy all night. One neighbor had a dog that liked to bark. Beds were uncomfortable for being a new hotel. Breakfast was not comparable to other Holiday Inn Expresses. Staff was apologetic but all the problems are inexcusable. Will never stay at this hotel again.

Very nice hotel. Friendly Staff. Nice breakfast. Clean rooms. Enjoyed the pool and workout room. Only problem was that we were on the 4th floor and the elevator broke on the first night of our stay (a Thursday) and wasn't repaired.

Room carpet and molding were extremely dirty. Very unhealthy.
Smoking by the front door should not be allowed.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Aneka Elevator broken. No response from Manager.
Checked in on Thursday 7/16/15. We were given a very nice and clean room on the top floor (4th). When we left the room on Friday morning to go to breakfast there was a sign on the elevator door. The elevator was out of service. We asked at the reservation desk when it would be fixed. We were told it would be fixed on Friday. The elevator was not fixed on Friday, nor did we see any evidence of anyone working on the elevator. We checked out on Saturday and the elevator was not fixed. Maintenance did help us walk our luggage down the stairs which was appreciated. Upon checkout we asked for some compensation. The manager was not in the office, but we were told she would check on this and call us back. It is now Monday and we have not been called back. Climbing up the stairs to the fourth floor was difficult for me as I have knee problems. We were not offered a room on another floor. Disappointed in customer service at this hotel. I am a Platinum IHG member.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Country Girl 22 Staff is outstanding
We spent from May thru half of the following January here off and on because of cancer treatments at Mayo. The staff was wonderful.--willing to help us in any way they could. We loved the location whether we needed to be at St Mary's or Rochester Methodist. Being near the interstate was a plus, too. The motel is a manageable size when you have a very ill person -- no long hallways! I would not hesitate to recommend this motel to anyone.

Expressway side is noisy, breakfast room is too small, breakfast choices are not desirable, shuttle does not run after 5pm ... Staff was very NICE :)

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Betty1245 Nice place to say when loved one is at the hospital.
This location is within walking distance, about 2 blocks, from St. Mary's. The staff was so friendly and concerned that we were doing well during a very tough time for the family! The taste of the breakfast selections was not the greatest, but I assume that was not the fault of the staff. The only reason for sleep quality being low had only to do with family stress than the hotel.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Thomas6 always dependable
The Rochester Holiday Inn Express has always been dependable, is in a convenient location, and the Priority Club makes check-in and check-out extremely efficient.
