Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient location only Overall, staff needs a little improvement. We had to remind staff several times for downstairs public restroom to be attended with paper towels and toilet paper to be replenished! After reminding staff 2-3times and 6hours later, it was finally fixed. The A/C in our room was warm, but staff was not accomodating to our needs. "That's the way it is and it's fine" according to staff. The room was definitely not comfortable. This hotel is in a convenient location, that's about it. We have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express locations, and this was the worst by far. March 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location and service Stayed here with my husband and handicapped father on a vacation during SXSW. The hotel was busier than normal, but it was great to be close to the action without being in the epicenter. When we arrived, our handicap accessible room was missing a shower chair, but hotel management located one and personally brought it to our room within an hour. Wonderful, caring service. Round Rock is a great place to stay in the Austin area. This hotel is on Interstate 35, just 15 minutes north of downtown Austin. I had seen Round Rock Donuts and The Salt Lick BBQ on the Travel Channel. Both are close to the hotel, about 5 minutes away. March 21, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dirty This is the worst among all hotels that carry the name of Holiday Inn, and we have ever stayed as a priority club member for more than 15 years. The room had empty coke bottles, a bag of chocholates and a bag of chips were left on the counter, used soaps in the soap holders of the tub. Although the bed was made, but the linens were not replaced. Tiny hairs and some dust were found in the bed linens. When I called the front desk, he did not offer to replace linens, instead he said he did not have another room. The second day when I talked to the front desk, she just kept saying sorry, and did not listen to me what were the problems. I wonder what the "sorry" means if you did not listen the problem? Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall fabulous experence! We stayed on Valentines Day. Rachel and Jonathan at the FD were friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Christine from F&B kept the buffet well stocked & clean. The food was really good and the selection was better than most we have stayed at. We will definately be returning to this place again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Compassion when needed We took our daughter to Lubbock to begin her first semester at Tech. On the way home, we hit a deer and wrecked our car. We were towed an hour and a half to Austin to leave car at the VW collision center. We asked the tow driver to drop us off at the Holiday Inn. We arrived at 1:00 am with a toddler and a teenager and needed a room. My 4 yr old was thrilled to tell the hotel staff about our accident. We were quickly given a suite at a discounted rate. The next morning, the staff helped us fax and receive paperwork from insurance and collision center. Everyone at the hotel was very kind and compassionate. We were very grateful for the discounted room with the unexpected expenses incurred after an accident. As a priority club member, the extended check-out was very helpful as we needed a place to stay while we arranged transportation home. We were blessed to be uninjured in our accident and then blessed by the staff at the holiday inn. We will always stay at a holiday inn when we travel. God Bless. January 26, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay I really like this location. I've returned to stay here 3 times in 2012 and plan to return. The staff are always friendly and helpful. There's only 2 things I wish were better: 1. Some of the rooms (1st floor# have carpet that feels kind of sticky when walking barefoot on the flooring. Might need to clean it differently or change it out. 2. The parking is pretty limited. Not much can be done but since there is another H.I. location a few hundred yards away, it would be great if they could offer some sort of shuttle service #to the shopping outlet for example) even for a small fee. My wife doesn't drive and taxis are not that common in RR. Keep up the good work and we will be back! P.S. We love the pancake machine in the mornings :) January 15, 2013

The staff was as nice as ever, even letting me borrow a charger for my Blackberry. I would recomend this hotel for the friendlyness of the staff alone. December 13, 2012

The rooms are large and comfortable and I have only one complaint. The hot water in my room was non-existent. I would get warm water for about five minutes in the shower and then it would trend downward until cold by ten minutes. That was with only the hot water turned on and no cold water. It might have been taken care of by now, I mentioned it to the staff after I had taken my last shower during my stay (the night before I left) and they immediately put a work order in to check the hot water in my room. Other than that, great stay. I don't normally write reviews, but the friendliness of the staff made me want to make sure they get credit for their service. December 12, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Francis was wonderful Francis took my reservation a day ahead of time via telephone when the priority club website showed some odd results, and she helped me with the reservation. When we arrived, Francis was working at the front desk and put us in a great room. Thank you Francis! My only negative (and this seems to be common with all Holiday Inn Express hotels I have stayed in). Although breakfast starts at 6:30a.m. (or whatever time it starts at), breakfast (such as the Cinnamon Rolls and scrambled eggs) are still cold at the start time (I am an early riser and almost always eat breakfast as soon as the food serving area opens). Breakfast is usually not "hot" until about 15 minutes after the published start time. I'd really like for Holiday Inn Express to ask their employees responsible for breakfast to get it hot at initial serving time and not 15 minutes later. November 25, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Was treated rudely when checking in. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, bathroom so very small. Didn't like the sink outside the bathroom. There was a odor down the hall. It was loud. So much noise at night that we couldn't sleep. Went down to the lobby to try and relax and there was some kind of party or something with teenagers that looked like they were having belly dancing or something. They were lound and running back and forth. We had a long trip back home and should have left there rested but instead we left there exhausted. I have stayed in a lot of Holiday Inn's and Holiday Inn Express and they have been great. I will not stay here again. You are supposed to be able to relax in a hotel not get exhausted. The only person that was nice to me the entire time we were there was the assistant manager when we were leaving. She was extremely nice. Wasn't even recognized as a priortiy club member. The clerk said she didn't know if there were was a room available. When i told her that i was a priority club member it was like it didn't matter. I wasn't recognized as one to begin with. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No WiFi, no water This is the fourth time I have stayed here and it will likely be the last. There have been problems every time. The WiFi hasn't worked in three of the four rooms I have stayed in because of low signal. It only worked in the lobby. The last time I stayed the internet was down completely. One room had low water pressure that never got hot. Another room had low pressure and only hot water that cut off halfway through my shower. On the plus side, the staff is very friendly and the rooms are big with a full kitchenette. November 13, 2012
