Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by blood on bedding I was having a perfectly good stay until I discovered the bed covers had multiple spots of old dry blood on them. They were pretty large and hard to miss when house keeping made the bed!! I only noticed after sleeping in the bed and tossing and turning one night making the underneath of the covers exposed. I checked out a day early, told the front desk clerk and got "so sorry". December 7, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Richmond Holiday Inn Express The room was a real disappointment given the items listed below: -The closet door handles coming off -Garbage on the walls by the desk (ketchup etc...) -Bathroom wall tiles had mildew growing all over the grout -Fridge had the insulative wall burnt thru -Need serious defrosting -serious mold growing in the seal of the door and hinge areas -Lights with cigarette burns on the shade -filth around the toilet base November 29, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to Holiday Inn Express standards We stay at HIE hotels regularly. This hotel was not at all up to the standards we have grown accustomed to. The front desk staff was very friendly. Other than that, I would not recommend this location at all. First of all, the hotel allows pets. This is wonderful for those travelers requiring pet lodging. For the rest of us, include those of us who have severe pet allergies, this hotel is NOT the place to stay. In the morning, the elevator reeked of urine. The odor drifted into the lobby and hallways. A member of housekeeping was seen walking the halls, spraying Febreeze. It did not help. Secondly, the room seemed run down and dingy. The bathroom tiles were stained. I did not feel like the room was clean. In short, if you are expecting a typical Holiday Inn Express experience, do not give this hotel a second glance. November 25, 2014
