Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Needed at end of a long day Staff 10/10 Room 10/10 Systems 7/10 I would have an automated check in process to compliment the front of house staff, my criticism being it can take some time to get checked in, this could be sped up as the rooms are operated via keycard. Also, could hotels stop insisting on the keycard being in the "light switch circuit",? please,! Would it not be more practical to use a motion sensor/heat sensor, instead of going into a completely dark room, and not being able to find the slot.. Or, perhaps extend the circuit via wired or wireless transmission to the door reader, so that lights are on when you first enter room..? Maybe have the initial lights on on a timer to enable the guest to see where they need to insert the card..? Other than that 10/10 November 12, 2014

Fitted the bill for a night at a hotel with parking before an early morning flight from airport next day. Check-in was good, staff friendly and helpful, the room was clean, well-equipped... but the Internet signal in the room varied between weak and non-existent, while I couldn't get a phone signal either. I wandered up and down the corridor trying to see if I could get a signal, but without success. On the few occasions I managed to connect to the Internet, it was a ridiculously slow connection. Shame - as otherwise an almost perfect stay. But in today's modern World, internet communications are vital for the business traveler and an hotel has to provide this. November 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Airport hotel. This is our 3rd visit to this hotel on route to Airport, it's exalent for a park and fly stay at the right price ! We have a easy Access Rome do to my disability and find the booking process very easy " on line" . The help your self breakfast is included in the room price ,and I my opinion is very good. The Staff are always very friendly and consistent , it also offers free wifi wich is always an plus. Tj. November 9, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, comfortable rooms and very nice staff The room was clean with a large bed and a "pillow menu" - soft and harder, small sofa, TV. Bathroom with toilet was also alright. Breakfast we didn´t try, because we had flight very early, but dinner was excellent and for England in a good price. The staff was very helpful and polite. The only problem was an air condition. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great place to stay We tried this hotel as a pre-flight stop once before and were so impressed with it, we didn't hesitate to book again. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and service was excellent. We enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant and staff there attentive, without being 'in your face'. The half hourly airport shuttle was a useful feature and ran to time. The hotel position so close to the airport also meant not having to get up so early! October 31, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Night's Stay in an IHG hotel Where do I start.... As a frequent user of the IHG group of hotels for business, I thought I would cash in some loyalty points for our stay on route to our holiday. To start with, the main light in the bedroom was not working, then the basin in the bathroom was badly cracked and the shower tap had no adjuster knob (photos taken). As we were tired from a long drive and had an early start, I thought it best to settle down for the night and try and get some sleep and then report the issues in the morning, however we were not even asked the normal “how was your stay?” To top it all off, we had a double room and the 2nd bed was a smaller bed than the normal and when I rolled over, the bed made so much noise it woke me up every time, including waking my wife in the other bed. As I don’t generally moan or provide feedback, this experience was so bad I thought it best I do. The question for Holiday Inn is, how do you allow rooms in this condition to be allowed to be used by your customers when one of your ideologies is “A fresh, clean, uncomplicated hotel choice offering convenience and good value” sadly I think you failed on all of those items. My mobile phone is faster than their wifi Good job it wasn't an eBay bid or an important email to japan! 3. Missing Glass Shelf in bathroom 4. Not very clean overall , poor quality and i use this brand 3-4 days a week all over the UK and this is not the norm! 5. No matter how much you complain they do nothing but apologise, So I will be looking for another hotel But in fairness if you're travelling to Benidorm it will be fine ! October 25, 2014

People getting up early to get to the airport couldn't get on the bus and were rejected by a rude ONLY english speaking driver who understands that shouting in English LOUDER makes no english people able to understand easier !!- People made to hang around at check in if you are 10 minutes early !!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Efficient and cheap Leaving with Ryan air early (06:00) we were consurned that we would have problems being there. No problem when staying at Holiday Inn Express Stansted. The Staff was very efficient, and we were even able to get some breakfast as early as 4:00 in the morning. Then to the shuttle bus that was on time and having nice time in the airport. The stay is very recommendable - don't try to be so early in Stansted when staing in London, do your last night in Holiday Inn Express and you don't have to worry about making the plane October 21, 2014

Das Frühstück ist, auch im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels dieser Gruppe, sehr schlecht. Als Gast ist man faktisch gezwungen den Bus zwischen dem Flughafen und dem Hotel für 3 GBP pro Strecke zu nutzen. Theoretisch wäre der Weg zwischen Hotel und Flughafen auch zu Fuß zu bewältigen. Es gibt jedoch keinen Fußweg. October 20, 2014

Stay away from the sausages -they look good but taste awful - the coffee too -use the Costa coffee machine in the lobby, not the machine in restaurant. BUT... Selbst für ein "continental breakfast" war das angebotene Frühstück dürftig. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good stay let down by the food I stayed with my husband at the Holiday Inn Stansted for 2 nights in October 2014. We liked the guest room and the large parking bays (which is unusual in the UK). We found the staff helpful. I was part of a quilting group using conference facilities, which were excellent. My husband spent the days elsewhere. On departure, we were charged room hire x4 (not 2) and conference lunch x 4 (not 1). I only had one conference lunch. So we paid £41 too much. We dis liked having to sign in for the wifi every hour. We also didn't like the food, which we found poor quality and very expensive for what it was. October 15, 2014
