Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Access to local currency I could not aquire local currency at hotel for taxi and the hotel was in a area that the ITM was a good distance away and I would need to go out of hotel grounds to aquire local currency and in the location of Batam Indonesia it was a risk to aquire cash at ITM and then walk back to hotel. They greeted us once we come out from the ferry terminal, to the check in process, and even bring us to our room. It was still the same good service that we experienced 2 months ago. As for the food quality, the quality has declined a bit as compared to 2 months ago, as some of the dish is more salty now. But the overall experience is still very good, and it's a good place to go for a short getaway to relax away from city life. January 25, 2015

We came from downtown at around 340pm and we were shocked to see that our room door is already open and the staff are already inside cleaning the room. We havent checked out yet and the fact that the package states that the checkout is late which is 4pm. It was really an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. January 20, 2015

We would like to specially mention Hari (Front Desk staff) and Dean (Tea Tree Spa staff) as they have left a deep impression with their professionalism and friendly services. Holiday Inn Resort Batam is our first choice when it comes to holidaying in Batam as the staffs are always able to make us feel welcomed and at ease throughout our stay every single time. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good service, spacious accommodation, reasonable price A comfortable resort hotel with friendly staff. Quite well maintained even though it is 15 years of age. The swimming pool is good, and I particularly like the lap pool which is very clean and quiet. However, there was no staff on duty there and no towels available. The food in the hotel is ok but not particularly impressive. Luckily we can get live seafood but walking 10 minutes to the water front. The path leading to the water front is muddy and dark at night. I wish that it can be paved with cement in future. The shutter bus to the shopping centre was very good and convenient. It would better if two trips per day can be provided on weekdays. There was some miscommunication during my internet booking. I was instructed to wait for the shuttle bus at Sekupang Terminal, but there was no one to pick us up on arrival. We had to call the hotel for help, and waited one hour for the shuttle bus to arrive. January 16, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday in Batam Nice hotel and staff. Needs some updates and attention to detail. The dining area staff is wonderful. Had a nice visit and enjoyed sitting by the pool. Not much nearby the hotel in terms of shops or restaurants. If you are looking for a nice rest, this is a good place to try for a few days. January 8, 2015
