Fourth time staying at the boutique Hotel Indigo, and every time, this hotel impresses me. I'm 57, male, doing business in San Diego attending a trade show here every summer. Got a nice spacious room with appealing design. Front desk and bellmen were terrific with handling my large shipments to and from the hotel. Great WiFi in the room and fabulous huge APPLE computers for free use in the oh so chic lobby. Did I mention the food? Just had time for one meal this visit, but it was delicious and prepared with my health in mind. My business took me to the convention center about 1 mile away which was a $6 cab ride back and forth every day, but with the Indigo to come "home" to (vs those big expensive luxury hotels) it was sooooo worth it.

Loved our stay at Hotel Indigo in San Diego. We have a small dog, pekinese, that we hate to leave. We were coming to a wedding reception and they suggested this hotel. Wow, they have a 9th floor bar area with a grass area for pets. They could roam the area off leash, meet other dogs, while you enjoyed a great happy hour bloody Mary. The rooms were very nice and pet friendly. The bed was very comfortable. You could take your dog with you anywhere in the hotel. The food we had in the restaurant was very good. I recommend the cheese sandwich with chicken and the wings!

Excellent bed, great room, great service from the staff, but the shower was the worst I have experienced in a hotel room. Water flow was too low and temperature varied continuously from too hot to too cold. Other than that, a great hotel!

The location is great, and the breakfast we ate at the hotel restaurant was good. The nightly rate was a bit high. However, the entire staff from the bell hops, front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping were spectacular! They made our stay worthwhile. :-)

Loved this hotel. The staff was courteous, friendly, and helpful, from the front desk to the valet and everyone in between. It's very conveniently located to the ball park if you want to see a Padres game. It was less than a five minute walk. It also has some great restaurants within walking distance as well. I liked the fact that it is an LEED certified hotel. The designers did an excellent job with every detail. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I picked the Indigo Hotel almost at random for our planned trip to San Diego for Comic Con 2012. I had no idea what a great choice I'd made.
Although this place is a little pricey, it was well worth the expense. From the beautiful design to the comfy rooms to the exceptional dining, it was a refreshing change from the "norm". I'd venture to say that Chef Ramsey would be proud of the food presentations.
Although we didn't travel with pets, this place was VERY pet friendly and we met many at the outdoor hotel bar on the 9th floor.
It was an easy walk to the Convention Center every day even though the bus stopped right at the front door. We met one of the managers and she went out of her way to provide an unexpected extra that made our trip memorable and very successful.
All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Not only the front desk but the dining staff and concierge were fantastic.
Definately a MUST stay should I ever brave a convention again.

The deco,interior and rooms are very modern and unique! Everything is within walking distance. Good nightlife and perfectly placed if you want to avoid the madness of the Gaslamp. I would definitely stay here again.

From the moment we pulled up to the valet to the morning we left, I loved everything about this hotel. Everyone from the valets to the front desk to the bar staff were awesome! Special thanks to Ish who was working the bar on 9th floor. He was so sweet and nice and the chilled wine he served us was wonderful! Thank you Ish!

Room was very nice and clean. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and curious. Walking distance to gas lamp is why we chose the hotel indigo. Highly recommend staying here again.

From the moment we opened our car door we were greeted with friendly service! Everyone we came in contact with during our stay was cheerful and very helpful.
The only complaint is that the trees outside cover up the hotel sign so we had a little trouble finding it initially! But boy are we glad we did!!
Hopefully I will get to return sometime. Thanks for a relaxing stay!!

I'll be intentionally brief, please do not mistake my brevity for lack of positivity. Just trying to get to the points quickly.
Room and accommodations very nice
No shampoo or bath mat upon arrival but provided promptly by staff upon request
FREE INTERNET HOORAY! Getting pretty tired of the higher priced hotels gouging me for internet, glad yours did not!
Gas lamp location a bit misleading - while within walking distance, some of the blocks between the hotel and gas lamp area are a bit sketchy on week nights. Hope the hood fills in positively in the future.
Please provide an airport shuttle - i didn't need a car several days and the lack of an airport shuttle made things expensive enough To reconsider future stays. Valet parking plus tips make costs unreasonable

Great place! I paid a little more and got the room with a view....of Petco Field, where the Padres play. You can see the field perfectly from the room and the really cool bar on the roof that also faces the field.
Walked to 5th avenue, where the Gas Lamp is really happening and had a great time with a lot of nice restaraunts.

We just stayed one night at Hotel Indigo for the first time. It was our Anniversary and we decided to bring our dog with us. Not only is the property pet friendly, but it is a very special place to stay. Here is what is excellent about it: STAFF is helpful and friendly, LOCATION is amazing since there are so many cool and hip restaurants nearby within walking distance, ROOMS are very nicely decorated and clean, FRONT DESK goes above and beyond to greet you when you walk in with a smile, and bringing your dog is not snubbed upon at all. We never had a chance to try the restaurant or bar, but there seemed to be a lot of people enjoying those amenities as well. I will definitely stay here again with or without our dog! A+ in my book!

I was in town for a week long training. Everything from the hotel to the staff to the food was awesome. The hotel has a very warm feel to it. The room was beautifully decorated (except for the bathroom...the shower handle was a little too high for me LOL). I love the hardwood floors - I should have brought my dog...he would have had a ball. The staff is amazing - friendly and warm. I was astonished at how they remember names. Special thanks to the following staff - Crystal (at the bar - she's priceless when it comes to guest service), Evan (Bar), David (FD) and Darren (FD).
Thank you all for making my stay memorable.

Wife and myself live in South Orange County and decided to take a night off while the kids were gone away for the weekend & needed to find a dog friendly hotel. I travel quite a bit and stay at Holiday Inns when I can and have accumulated many "Priority Club Points". While searching for a Holiday Inn in San Diego, the hotel Indigo came up (they are apart of the Holiday Inn group) and were pet friendly.
I booked a room & we headed out, upon arrival to when we departed we had an awesome experience. We were up graded to a beautiful suite... which was nice. The whole hotel is dog friendly, even have a grass area on the 9th floor for Fido to do his business. Drinks at the bar were awesome, breakfast was good and yes, the dog joined us. Super close to Petco stadium & the Gas-lamp district.
The only con's I had with our stay would be the cost of parking, the pillows were small & lumpy (bring your own), and a little noisy from the people partying at surrounding bars. Other than that we had a blast & will go back in the future.

I had a terrific time in San Diego and my stay at Hotel Indigo capped it off. Checking in was a painless experience. I was greeted friendly, and quickly was engaged with the receptionist at the front desk. Cree was cheerful, helpful with directions and asked follow up questions when I arrived back at the hotel.
Returning from the trade show I was attending, Cree would ask how the show was, if I need help for dinner recommendations or a club to visit.
My experiences in the dining and lounge areas were just as nice. The food and service were great.
If you have an opportunity to stay here, you should. The Gas Lamp District has a lot to offer and the Hotel Indigo is right there.
February can't come soon enough to return to San Diego and the Hotel Indigo!

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Indigo in February of this year. We drove in to San Diego from Las Vegas with our three dogs (I.e. our "kids"). Having lived in Las Vegas for 20+ years, we know what it means to have a luxurious hotel and good staff. Hotel Indigo exceeded our expectations! They aren't just dog-friendly, they cater to pets! In fact, unlike every other hotel we have ever stayed at, they don't charge you extra for bringing a dog! You would never know it by the pristine rooms and gorgeous lobby, rooftop bar or hallways. Everything was immaculate. Sometimes staying in "dog-friendly" hotels leaves behind particular smells and/or messes, if you get my drift. Not so with Hotel Indigo. It was one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed in. Our boys were not only welcomed by the reception staff when we arrived, but they were also taken on a quick "tour" of the lobby! We were thoroughly impressed! Our room had gorgeous hardwood floors and was modernly decorated. One of our favorite features of the hotel was the rooftop deck/lounge/doggie area. The hotel has a great patio with amazing panoramic views of the city. Additionally, they have a doggie area with grass, poop bags and water for the guests of the four-legged types to relieve themselves. Only a short block away is the Padres baseball stadium and a BEAUTIFUL park where we took our boys walking each morning we were there. Make sure to check out the great, family-owned bagel shop right near the hotel as well--delicious breakfast sandwiches! Also close by (within 10 minutes) is a great dog beach on Coronado Island. Overall, the staff was incredible (from reception to lounge servers to waiters and waitresses to housekeepers). Everyone was professional and friendly. We would absolutely stay at Hotel Indigo again and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, hip hotel in San Diego.

In April 28 and 29, 2012. I book 2 rooms for 8 of my friends,for a weekend of my friend Cora's Bach Party. We had a blast. Your hotel is topnotch. Our group travels and vacation in and out of the country,and we can honestly say you live up to all of your claims in your website. You are Hip,You've got the ambiance,the clean and very comfortable rooms,great service,good looking and very pleasant staff,delicious food,great location AWESOME! Spent 3 nights (for first time) at the Hotel Indigo San Diego-Gaslamp Quarter; attending a conference, which was actually at another hotel. I could have stayed at the conference hotel; but preferred to stay off-site and selected Hotel Indigo due to previous stays at other Hotel Indigo hotels.
Location is good; can actually look into the ballpark from the bar/lounge.
Staff is professional and attentive. I was printing up a few presentation papers early in morning at the business center and a front desk attendant came over to see if I needed any assistance. When I indicated I was good, they proceeded to offer & get me a cup of coffee. Very nice detail to a good guest encounter.

This has to be the best place to stay in San Diego. The Indigo - San Diego Gaslamp Quarter is modern with an open-plan design and immaculate with very spacious and extremely comfortable guestrooms. The staff are the most courteous I've come across. The bar on the 9th floor is awesome with great views of the Petco Stadium and indeed the city.
There is no better location for stepping out to make the most of the wonderful city of San Deigo

If you haven't stayed at one of these yet, you need to. They are part of the same family as Holiday Inn but you'd never know it. Very boutique like. This one is in a great location in the Gaslamp district and the views into the baseball stadium from the rooftop lounge are incredible!!

The staff at Hotel Indigo was absolutely wonderful, especially Darren and Shiela. I stayed for 1 week, the location was great, staff was great, and was a very good overall experience. The only detractor would be lack of refrigerator in the room. For the price, and size of the room, I was disappointed that they didn't at least have a small refrigerator.

Hotel Indigo San Diego is a brand new addition to the chain. The hotel is bright, comfortable and - for want of a better word - funky. Good ambience and personality, pleasant staff, good location. Staying here was very enjoyable - much as if staying at Kimpton Hotel - the standard in affordable boutique hotels
