Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great experience with mans best friends. I found this hotel by mistake but I'm sure glad I did. What a great experience with my dogs and a beautiful room. The staff were very accommodating and my dogs were treated likes kings. The room was fresh, clean and roomy. The bed was very comfortable and the room amenities meet our every need. I will come back. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay! My school staff and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights at the Hotel Indigo. Our rooms were very comfortable, and the location was perfect. Close enough to walk to the convention center and restaurants, as well as far enough away to not be in the center of the crowds. Jose took great care of our team while we stayed there. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Feels like home I always love coming to Hotel Indigo in Downtown San Diego. Everything is well taken care of in all aspects. The rooms are very modern & stylish with more than enough space to accommodate small parties. There are nice spots to sit back & relax especially on the eight floor with the firepit overlooking the ballpark! The staff is extremely friendly & I'm definitely recommending this to anyone visiting San Diego. Hotel Indigo is the spot! January 31, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and Don't Miss Rooftop Lounge It's a very stylish place, relatively good location and great service when I was there - the 'Level 9' rooftop bar was great for a night view and sitting next to the gas fireplace areas. Value is good except for the parking (almost $40 per night! - park a few blocks away in a pay lot) - coffee pods for Kuerig brewer were only one each of caf. decaf?? ) and but staff was very friendly and helpful to help with finding restaurants in nearby Gaslamp quarter. The last time I was in town for Business I had an excellent experience due to the attentive and professional staff. Ellen at the front desk had made sure my stay was perfect. This time around I was in town for vacation and had only one property in San Diego I would stay at thanks to that experience. I was lucky enough to work with Ellen again and like my previous stays I was not disappointed. Even though it was during the rush of the holidays I felt like I was a top priority and I am extremely grateful for this. The entire staff there is professional and passionate about hospitality. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Location & Service Celebrated my 40th BDay in SD. 2nd time staying at the Indigo. Clean & modern. Amenities are simple (lounge & rooftop bar). Very clean considering it is a pet friendly hotel. My wife is allergic to dogs but did not experience symptoms. The was a personalized card and a nice gift for me. Front desk, operator, valet, housekeeping were all very friendly. There was a gentleman who had a bit much to drink knocking on doors at 3 am (a guest... not a bum), but the security response was within minutes. Walking distance to everything in the Gaslamp. We never used the car for this trip. Parking sucked ($40/night), however we could not find any place that overnight parking for less. We enjoyed our time here and would recommend if you're thinking about going to SD. January 16, 2014

The hotel was within walking distance to the office as well as the nightlife. The hotel atmosphere was relaxing and the facilities outstanding. I had a daily workwork in the well equipped fitness room each morning folloed by breakfast in the resturant. I will reccomend this facility to my business asscociates as well as any friends visiting the San Diego area. January 16, 2014

I would stay again at this hotel and the area has wonderful restaurants. The beds are awesome. The only draw back is late night guest coming into hallways (4:00 a.m.) coming back from bars. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Experience The hotel was beautiful, right in the heart of downtown. We checked in and walked over to the Gaslamp with no problem. Beautiful view right into Petco, just wish there had been a game going on. Either way, the stadium is still very cool. Outdoor lounge on the 9th floor was also very relaxing with a beautiful view and fire pits. This may be where we stay every time we come to SD January 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent San Diego Visit and Friendly Staff! We stayed for 2 nights last weekend at Hotel Indigo. We enjoyed the location and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We are not Tea drinkers and the Keurig Coffee Maker in the room came with 1 regular, 1 decaf and 2 teas. I asked the front desk if I could trade the tea for regular coffee and the front desk agent promptly provided me with 2 regular coffees. I asked for 2 more condiment kits and housekeeping brought them to the room within 10 minutes. The property is clean and very modern with some nice touches. The room was excellent and we had a great view of Petco park. Walking distance to many restaurant and shops. This is a pet friendly hotel and we say many dogs in the lobby and outside the hotel. We are animal lovers, so we did not mind. The doggy snacks at the front desk was well consumed by many dogs. The hardwood floors in the room were great and the bathroom was well appointed. The Free WiFi was okay and a little slow during the evenings when everyone may have been on. That could be an area that could be improved. I was getting less than a 1.0 Mb download speed most of the time. We had a great stay! Thank you! January 10, 2014

I could see why people would have problems with noisy animals staying there, but we didn't have any. Party city on New Year's Eve, but it didn't bother us. Quiet rooms overall. Towels, linen, etc was all in great shape. Great experience! January 9, 2014

Had two rooms reserved, the air conditioner wasn't working in either room but their staff was extremely efficient and kind and took care of it immediately. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Hotel - Bed NOT comfortable The design of the hotel are stunning - great color pallet - very refreshing and contemporary. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant staff (front of house) are friendly but slow - my husband and I sat and waited for the server while we watched her chat behind the counter with another staff member for about five minutes. The rooms are lovely - the bed however was very uncomfortable - it felt like a hard cheap matress with a pillow top thrown on top to disguise. I did not sleep well but while we were awake we truly enjoyed our stay. The location is ideal for a downtown visit. January 8, 2014

Rooms were nice but cleaning service was not great (always shorted us on towels/wash clothes) Front desk service was great. Kaitlin did a good job taking care of us. Great location, walked to everything we did. I would recommend this hotel. Seems to cater more to the business traveler. No pool. January 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by In The Pocket Spent Xmas week in SoCal and did my research on the property before I got there. This is a great hotel in a great area. Close enough to the action without being in the middle of everything. About 4-5 blocks form the core of the Gaslamp. Room was spacious, clean, and the bathroom was great. A huge tub (instead of a standup shower) would've been a nice touch for my wife, but I get the boutique hotel thing. WiFi is free, but a little sluggish. But, beggars can't be choosers, right? Check in/out was a cinch, and they offer a private cab service to SAN (Lindbergh Airport) for around $20. The staff was young, hip, and cool to talk to. Rooftop bar was awesome. Great views and perfect for a nightcap. Next time my wife and I are in San Diego, we'll be at the Indigo. Book it. January 7, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No Frills The accomodations were fine, but BEWARE! There is no place to park. You must use the Valet Parking and it's $39.00 every night! Plus I'm a Platinum member and got nothing for my status. At all the other IHG hotels I've stayed at I've received a free drink coupon plus bonus points or continental breakfast. Hotel Indigo in Albany New York I got all 3 plus a free coffee in the a.m. And the parking was free! Nothing extra here! Not a bottle of water, not a drink coupn, nothing. ALL the other hotels at least give their gold and platinum members a bottle of water! It was comfortable but I won't go back. I'll go to the Crown Plaza from now on . Plus I called before I went to make sure they honored the Government Rate discount and they said yes, but I didn't get it. But you don't know this because it's a paperless system and you have to wait to get your bill in an e-mail. It was too late by then. Pretty disappointing. Nice view tho. Staff was friendly. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Nice Modern Boutique Hotel Good, Modern Hotel. Nice and Large suites. Good Locations, about 8 minutes walk to Gas Lamp Quarters. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area. And about 5 minutes drive to Seaport Village. We were a little dissappointed because we were promised to get a rollaway bed but when we checked in at the hotel there were no more rollaway bed available. I think the reservation department did not checked on the rollaway status. Overall we had a good one night stay at this hotel. January 5, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great location & people Very nice staff and the location is great. The value was good too, especially for the location. We also loved the gym, which is small but good for a free hotel gym. Now, for a few areas of improvement. First, we had a room where it just blew cold air, no matter how high we set the heat. The maintenance guy came and claimed to fix it but it was just as cold. We called again but never got it fixed. So it was pretty cold every night. Also, the parking is convenient but very expensive at $40/day. That's SF or NY pricing, not San Diego. Also, the halls can get a bit funky smelling, due to the number of pets there. Finally, the wifi is horribly slow, sort of like dial-up speeds. For a hotel of this caliber, I'd expect a much better wifi infrastructure. January 4, 2014

The front desk staff (especially Darren) were very helpful and courteous. I was concerned the wait for the car would be an issue; however, the valet was very efficient. The valet staff was very helpful with directions and always had a smile on their face. Can't wait to visit again. January 4, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Concern with housekeeping service My first experience with the hotel. over all the experience was good. Major concern was with housekeeping service. I left room at around 10.30 am and no one checked to see if the room needed to be done. As I walked out, I went over to the housekeeping service and informed them that the room needs to be done. I came back at around 5.30 pm and the room was still not done. I went again and informed the housekeeping staff. But later at night the room was still not done. The dirty towels still lay on the floor. Never had this experience before. Marred the whole hotel staff, which I thought were quite good December 29, 2013

My trip was cut short due to a tragic event with a co-worker. Jade and Nickie were very helpful when my plans had to change. They even placed a comforting card under my door. I only stayed one night in this hotel, but it ensured that I will be staying in this hotel from now on every time I visit San Diego. I travel a lot, so for a hotel to make an impression on me, it means something. First I'll start with the quality of the hotel. Everything was great, from the cleanliness, to the bed, to the carpet. It was great. The location of the hotel is awesome as well. Walking distance to many great restaurants and hang out spots. But the best part of the hotel has got to be Megan and Jose. I booked the hotel online and wrote a random request under the "Special Requests" section of the booking page. I asked for two red skittles to be placed on my pillow upon arrival. I didn't expect them to follow through with it, so I ended up forgetting about it. However when I entered my room, I found a note thanking me for my stay, along with two red skittles on my pillow, and a bowl filled with the rest of the skittles. Needless to say, I was freaking surprised that they were willing to do something like this. They didn't have to do it, but the fact they paid attention to the details and were willing to do whatever it took to make me happy is the reason I will be a customer for life. Thanks Megan and Jose!!! The skittles were great! P.S If the manager is reading this, give them a raise! December 23, 2013
