Insider Tips

LOCAL CULTURE

Hoi An

Hoi An is Vietnam’s most charming and atmospheric town, an old port city that has remained remarkably well preserved for hundreds of years. A stroll through the city’s lantern-lit old town, along winding lanes, temples and Chinese shophouses is a romantic journey to the past. Hoi An (then called Lam Ap Pho) was the main trading port of the Cham Empire from the 2nd to the 14th centuries. The city rose to prominence again in the 16th century under the Nguyen Lords and became a major economic center. Chinese, Japanese and traders from Europe all played a role in the city’s development, giving it a uniquely international flavor. Today, Hoi An’s historic charm coexists with abundant shopping and chic modern restaurants, making it a top tourist destination and a culinary haven.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 A memorable stay With recommendation from our family, my wife and I intended to stay here for 6 nights to celebrate our 10th year anniversary. However the resort was fully booked out and we were only able to stay for 3 nights. The resort exceed my expectations on all levels with magnificent views and facilities and service was at an exceptionally high level. We wish we could of stayed here longer. The hotel shuttle service that was normally used to transfer guests to Da Nang was kind enough to drive us directly to the next Resort on our last day which was very nice. The complementary lounge access at the airport completed a memorable stay at the Resort. May 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fantastic view and position the swimming pool is too small and short of the swimming facilities , it is forbidden for child in the big one .and the staff told me the taxi fee to angsana is 140usdollar, in fact the price for the taxi is about 90 us dollar, that is always dispointting. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Best Place in Da Nang We did enjoy our two days in the resort, which is definitely like a huge park located in son tra peninsula. Everything here is a completely different experience to the other beach resorts. Among them, we did like the architecture, room design, Citron and beach service. May 3, 2015
