Terms and Conditions

To take part in the ‘Up to 3X’ Promotion (the ‘Promotion’), an individual must have an active, valid IHG One Rewards member account and must register for the Promotion. Members can pre-register for this Promotion from 17 September 2026 until 30 September 2026 (the ‘Pre-Registration Period’). Members will be able to stay and earn IHG One Rewards bonus points under this Promotion beginning 1 October 2026 and ending on 31 December 2026 (the ‘Promotion Period’). Members who did not register during the Pre-Registration Period may register for the Promotion during the Promotion Period. A member can only register once. Stays completed prior to registration for this Promotion, even if they occur during the Promotion Period, will not qualify for earning. By registering for the Promotion, a member is accepting these Terms and Conditions.

After registering for the Promotion, a member will earn 2X points beginning with their second Qualifying Stay and for each subsequent Qualifying Stay during the Promotion Period, when such stays are booked through an IHG-owned direct booking channel. Members will earn 3X points beginning with their second Qualifying Stay and on each subsequent Qualifying Stay during the Promotion Period when such stays are booked through one of the following qualifying booking channels: the IHG One Rewards App (when accessed via HarmonyOS, Android, and iOS), WeChat, or LINE. Only stays booked through an IHG-owned direct booking channel count as Qualifying Stays under this Promotion; a member’s first Qualifying Stay must also be booked through an IHG-owned direct booking channel to be eligible for bonus points under this Promotion. No bonus points are earned on a member’s first Qualifying Stay; bonus points begin accruing with the second Qualifying Stay. Stays booked through third-party channels do not count as Qualifying Stays and do not earn bonus points under this Promotion. The booking channel used for each individual stay determines the earning tier for that stay; members may earn 2X on some stays and 3X on others depending on the channel used for each individual stay. Bonus point earning under this Promotion is unlimited. 

Qualifying booking channels for the triple points earning opportunity include the IHG One Rewards App on Android and iOS. In mainland China, eligible booking channels also include the IHG One Rewards App on HarmonyOS and WeChat. In Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand, eligible booking channels also include LINE.

For the purposes of this Promotion, a ‘Qualifying Stay’ is defined as a minimum one (1) night stay at a participating hotel booked under a Qualifying Rate, with total spend exceeding $30 USD (or local currency equivalent) for each night, booked through an IHG-owned direct booking channel. As stated, the ‘Promotion Period’ is from 1 October until 31 December 2026. Room nights outside of the Promotion Period are not included, and room nights that are part of a stay that was completed prior to registration for the Promotion are also not included. Stays booked using Rewards Nights or Points + Cash are not Qualifying Stays for purposes of this Promotion. Bookings made through online travel agencies or other reservation sites such as booking.com or expedia.com also do not qualify under this Promotion. If more than one member who registered for the Promotion checks into the same room, only one member is eligible to earn points under the Promotion for those nights that qualify. If a member books more than one room on the same night, the member will receive credit towards this Promotion for only one of the rooms that also meets the requirements of a Qualifying Stay under the Promotion. 

For the ‘Up to 3X’ Promotion, earning ‘2X’ or ‘2X points’ on your second Qualifying Stay until 31 December 2026 means the total number of regular ‘base points’ and promotional ‘bonus points’ combined will equal two (2) times the base points the member would normally receive just for being an IHG One Rewards member. For example, for a one-night Qualifying Stay with a room rate of $100.00 USD at an IHG hotel with a 10 points per USD earn rate for base points, the member would earn 1,000 base points (10 points x $100 USD = 1,000 points) and an additional 1,000 promotional bonus points, for a total of 2,000 points. Earning ‘3X’ or ‘3X points’ on your second Qualifying Stay and each stay thereafter until 31 December 2026 means the total number of regular ‘base points’ and promotional ‘bonus points’ combined will equal three (3) times the base points the member would normally receive just for being an IHG One Rewards member. For example, for a one-night Qualifying Stay with a room rate of $100.00 USD at an IHG hotel with an earn rate of 10 points per USD for base points, the member would earn 1,000 base points (10 points x $100 USD = 1,000 points) and an additional 2,000 promotional bonus points, for a total of 3,000 points. The promotional bonus points under this Promotion are calculated based solely on the base points the member is eligible to earn for a Qualifying Stay just for being an IHG One Rewards member, and any Elite status bonus points or any other bonus or promotional points the member may be eligible to receive for the same stay are not included. Bonus points earned through this Promotion are not Elite Status qualifying under the IHG One Rewards programme. For instance, in the first example above, the 1,000 base points would qualify for Elite Status, while the additional 1,000 promotional points would not. In the second example, the 1,000 base points would qualify for Elite Status, while the additional 2,000 promotional points would not. 

A member’s participation in the IHG One Rewards programme and this Promotion is subject to the standard IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions, which can be obtained here or by visiting ihgonerewards.com. IHG One Rewards benefits are generally available at all IHG® Hotels & Resorts and other partner hotels participating in the programme, with exceptions for the following brands: 

• Six Senses® Hotels, Resorts & Spas: IHG One Rewards points may be earned or redeemed for stays but other benefits may not be available. Note some hotels do not participate in IHG One Rewards. 

• The portfolio of Iberostar Beachfront Resorts excludes any interests in Cuba. Not all Iberostar Beachfront Resorts participate in IHG One Rewards. The current list of Iberostar Beachfront Resorts can be found here. 

• Ruby Hotels will be continuously integrated into IHG One Rewards starting in July of 2025. Please check the individual hotel website for participation information.

IHG may withdraw points from a member’s account if they were deposited into the member’s account in error and may revoke all points in a member’s account if the member abuses the IHG One Rewards programme, including but not limited to abuse of the point redemption process. IHG expressly reserves the right to remove a member’s points, downgrade their status or cancel their account if fraudulent activity in connection with the Promotion is detected, and any fraudulent or other prohibited activity relating to a member’s account, this Promotion, restricted rate offerings or the IHG One Rewards programme is subject to the IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions, including any of the identified actions that may be taken in response to such activity. To the extent permitted by applicable law, IHG’s interpretation of the scope and application of the Promotion and these terms and conditions will control, and IHG also reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Promotion. This Promotion is valid only for those who are eligible to participate and who registered for the Promotion, and such eligibility or participation cannot be transferred or conveyed. Any enquiries concerning this Promotion must be made by 25 March 2027.
