How long will it take my IHG® Rewards Club points to appear in my account after a recent stay?
Please allow seven business days after you check-out for points from a recent stay to appear in your account. If it has been more than seven days and your points are still missing, you can contact a Customer Care Centre or fill out a Missing Points form.

How do I get credit for a missing stay?
A stay takes seven business days from the date of check-out to appear in your IHG® Rewards Club account. Stays prior to enrollment are not eligible for credit. However, as a IHG®Rewards Club member you may request credit for stays up to six months after check-out. If you need assistance regarding missing stays or point postings, please submit a Missing Points form.

How many points do I earn when I stay?
If you enroll in IHG® Rewards Club while staying at any IHG hotel (excluding ANA partner hotels worldwide), you will earn 1,000 points for that qualified enrolling stay. For subsequent stays, and for all stays if you enroll by some other means, you will earn:
10 IHG® Rewards Club base points per eligible $1 USD spent at all:
• Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts
• Hotel Indigo
• Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts
• Holiday Inn Express hotels

What is the difference between a stay and a night?
A “night” is considered one night at any of our hotels. A “stay” can consist of any number of consecutive nights at the same hotel, regardless of frequency of check-in/check-out.

When is a night or stay considered qualifying?
A "stay" or "night" is qualified when paying qualifying room rates, which include most business and leisure rates.

What are qualifying room rates?
Qualifying room rates are applied when you book through IHG central reservation offices, IHG Web sites, travel agents or directly at the hotel. In North, South and Central America and the Caribbean, points may be awarded on locally negotiated rates if these rates are discounted less than 30%. At Asia Pacific hotels, qualifying room rates also include all locally negotiated rates.

Can I earn points and miles at the same time?
Your IHG® Rewards Club account must reflect either a points or a mileage earning preference. However, you can switch from one to the other at any time by updating the preferences on your account. Occasionally, there are IHG® Rewards Club promotions that offer points only, so if you are a mileage earner you will earn points on these offers. This information will be clearly displayed in the promotion details..

Other than hotel stays, how else can I earn points? (SPG)
In addition to staying at any IHG hotel, there are many other ways to earn IHG® Rewards Club Points including:
- On all Eligible Charges Worldwide charged to the member's room (except when staying at an InterContinental Hotel brand). Eligible charges include food and beverage, telephone, laundry, and in-room movies.
- For purchasing goods and services with our partners. View a complete list of our partners on our Partner page.
- When using a IHG® Rewards Club co-branded Visa credit card for everyday purchases.
You can also buy points! Use them for family travel, give them as a gift to other IHG® Rewards Club members or use them as business incentives.

Will points expire for IHG Rewards Club credit card holders?
IHG Rewards Club credit card holders are subject to the same policy as all IHG Rewards Club members. Please note, all points that you earn from spend on your IHG Rewards Club credit card will extend your point expiration period. Also, if your IHG Rewards Club credit card benefits include IHG Rewards Club Gold Elite or Platinum Elite, then your points won't expire as long as you continue to be an IHG Rewards Club credit card holder.

How do I earn airline miles for a stay?
You can earn miles with our frequent flyer program partners by changing your earning preferences or by calling the IHG® Rewards Club Service centre.When miles are transferred to a frequent flyer account, both accounts must be in the same name to avoid airline reject. This is for the member’s protection so that no unauthorized transfers may occur. Once transferred to an airline, they may not be returned to the members' IHG® Rewards Club account.

To see your My Offers page you'll need to sign into your IHG® Rewards Club® Rewards account. Once signed in, click 'View', then choose 'My Offer Status' on the menu on your left hand side.

I don't see a promotion in My Offers. Does that mean that I'm not registered?
While most of the promotions you have signed up for will appear in My Offers, there are a few that will not. To ensure you have been registered for a specific promotion, please contact the IHG® Rewards Club Service centre near you.

How will I know which of my stays qualified to a promotion?
You can find the list of your stays that counted towards a specific promotion by signing into your account and clicking 'View your Activity Detail'.

I don't see a specific stay in the ActivityDetail. How do I make sure it gets counted towards the promotion?
Click 'Return to My Offer Status' and choose 'Report a Points Discrepancy' to open a report. Select 'Missing Stay' for type of discrepancy then supply your stay information. An Account Manager will use the details you provide to locate your stay. Once found and confirmed, the points will be posted to your account with the appropriate bonus. Please allow at least three (3) business days for processing.
