The Stadium is 243 m long and up to 159 m wide. It's tower is 72 m high. The Stadium was inaugurated on June 12, 1938. At its maximum, in 1952 (the XVth Summer Olympics), the Stadium accommodated 70 000 spectators. Today, after the major renovation, the number of spectator places, all of them seats, is 40 000.

Linnanmäki amusement park was founded in 1950 by six child welfare organisations. Linnanmäki is one of the Helsinki's must-see-destination in the summer.
