Customer service very lackluster

Fiancee was kicked off property at 9 in the morning (before check-out) because he asked for a phone charger. I was in town for business and left him to eat breakfast while I handled my stuff for an hour. When I get back to pick him up he is standing across the street?!? I find out that because I did not leave him with a room key (he was downstairs eating breakfast and we were not expecting to return to the room) and because I did not list him on the room he had no right to stay on property.
What angered me the most was the fact that the lady who checked us in at 1am was the same lady who served breakfast and supposedly management asked her if she recognized him and she said no. He is a 6'7 500lbs black man- not something you easily forget!
My fiancee has been working security at a casino for 20+ years and he knows how customer service rolls and thus WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE.

I've had 3 stays with Holiday in and this is the second one I've had an issue with!! Plenty of other hotel chains offer a rewards program... You should really work on customer service if you plan on keeping members.

General Manager ate out of the bacon pan with her fingers

Staff was great and friendly. Everything was great except the general manager which literally picked her teeth with her fingernails and then stuck them in the bacon pan without ever washing her hands. I’ve never seen anything like that especially from someone who should know better. Kitchen staff was great. Room was great. Other then the bacon which was stomach turning everything was good.

Good hotel and staff. Recommend having a TV manual available to staff or client. Took a while to figure out how to turn off TV SAP.

Cox Communications is terrible

I did not have TV service the entire length of my stay. The staff tried their best to get the TV working and I do not fault them at all, but there is an issue with Cox Communications after Hurricane Laura. I commend the staff for putting up with me and my requests to get it fixed, but Cox does a poor job of assisting hotels, etc with being able to provide first class customer service.

The shower heads really need to be changed out to something a little more current. Running around to get wet and rinsing shampoo out of my hair was a bit of a challenge.

Always a good experience... Holiday Inn always provides comfort and convenience...due to covid breakfast is not the same...very limited selections and no where near the normal quality of food... can't wait for this to go back to normal... overall experience still 9 out of 10 though

Had to switch rooms

When we opened the door to our room, someone else’s belongings were in it. We notified the desk and they assigned us to another room.
The safe couldn’t be unlocked by maintenance, and since we arrived Friday afternoon, nothing could be done about it.
There was a good variety of hot and cold foods at breakfast, with careful following of Covid-19 recommendations.
Other than these two situations, our stay was fine. We would stay there again and recommend it to others.

Not informing guest of problem areas

Arrived at hotel was not informed that the TV's did not work in all rooms, called down to desk to see what the problem was, i understand the hurricane knocked out the cable but they could have informed us, also the next day I had to go somewhere that morning the water got in the floor in bath room put towels down returned to room and the room had not been cleaned went to front desk was informed that they only clean rooms every five (5) days they did exchange towels, I just feel that if I'm paying that much I should have been informed, maybe I would have looked somewhere else.
