Comfortable bed - apathetic staff

There were only a few hotels here and I think overall this brand of hotel is reliable. We we’re coming for a wedding and I called a few days before to find out if we could store our luggage or possibly check in early. The lady I spoke to said we could check in early. When we arrived after driving for 6 hrs and though there were hardly any cars in the parking lot, were told that the room was not ready and no place to hold our luggage. We could change in the bathroom. Which we had to do to get ready for the wedding. So had I known I would have planned a lot of things differently. I understand their issues but the guy at the desk wasn’t very helpful either. Otherwise we slept well and left early.

Everything about this Holiday Inn property met my expectations. From my call-in inquiry to fix an error made on my part, to the friendly, professional greeting I received immediately upon my arrival, I have no hesitation to either visit this establishment again in the future nor reservations about recommending this particular property to Family and Friends!
As a Flight Attendant/Supervisor in a previous career, I can share that my time within that particular industry spoiled me when it comes to hotel accommodations. This property does not disappoint!
I will definitely be back to Wharton!

Quiet, comfortable and clean; easy access to businesses; has been great every visit; would've been great if front desk staff had known what channel the Astros were playing for World Series!

Pleasant staff and clean hotel. Was in town for wedding so didn't spend allot of time in hotel.

This is the the kind of hotel you wish others were or could follow in there footsteps, this hotel is above just a subpar hotel .Cleanliness awesome breakfast, fantastic well maintained swimming pool an above all fantastic hotel staff ,the weight room was spotless an germ free which is very important to me since I work out ,there are two fine eating establishments within walking distance an also a Buckeys across the main highway ,At this Hotel you get some of the finest southern hospitality that other hotels should strive to be.If your ever down around Wharton Texas an your lookin four a 5star hotel this is it.

My first stay at this property, and will return again and again. Quality service, food, and a great room to relax and sleep in. Buc-ee's across the street helps too!

I really love a cold room an you better believe when you put the thermostat on cold its gonna get COLD ,the breakfasts was absolutely great an the staff was just so so pleasant .The rooms were very clean restrooms clean plenty towels an all the soap you need, plenty closet space an all the best cable channels you could watch, the pool was well maintained an the entire hotel was spotless ,The weight room was as good as it get an also a two restaurants within walking distance so that was a plus ,IHG I will definetly be using it again an again
