Better before

This is our second stay at this location. It was wonderful before. The rooms were very clean, and the breakfast was terrific on our previous stay.
The room looked clean but we found a toddler shoe from a previous guest, sticky spots, and the cups in the bathroom were wet and smelled of toothpaste which is just disgusting. It's enough to make me have doubts about using this location again.

Nice rooms but Hotel is short staffed.

This Holiday Inn in Murray has potential, but it doesn't feel family friendly compared to other Holiday Inns. Upon check-in the sign at the front desk read, we apologize for being short staffed this weekend? This is on the 4th of July weekend, one employee to check-in so many tired travelers on a big holiday weekend is unacceptable for both the guests and employee. Lot's of police activity right in front of this Holiday Inn express and the aroma of tobacco permeates the parking lot at this Hotel, during our stay. We decided to cut our stay short at this Holiday Inn and headed 15 miles south to another Holiday Inn which was a much better experience for us overall. We may give this Hotel Inn another shot once changes are made relevant to staffing and cleaning up the items listed in my review.

Great Stay

This hotel was quiet, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was clean. I would definitely stay here again. I do wish that the hotel had offered more drink choices for breakfast, but I do understand that some things are beyond their control at the moment.

Great, but cable wasn't working.

Everything was nice and clean. The fact that I couldn't relax and watch TV was absurd though. After a long day at Lagoon in the heat all we wanted to do was relax and wasn't able to fully. We had to watch TV on our phones, which was annoying.

Reservations

Issue I had was trying to receive a confirmation on my reservation. When I contacted the hotel they said there were no reservations even after I had provided all my information to include my CC number to the hotel staff member earlier. I expressed my. concern, etc. After a second call the next morning to follow up on my reservations, etc. The staff member said they identified a computer issue that was not retaining any reservations, etc. This problem was apparently affecting several hotels and they needed to restart/reboot their system and to redo all the reservations. This staff member should be commended for her followup and able to address a serious problem with their IT staff that could have created numerous complaints of guests showing up and learning there were no reservations, etc. The first person I spoke to ref to his issue didn't bother to leave a note ref to my problem for the next shift duty manager, etc. It was my follow up call the next morning and her follow up that identified the issue.
