Located just a block from the beach and a short 10 minute walk to the design district, this hotel served us well for a fun filled weekend in Solana Beach.

In general the hotel has all that you have come to expect from a Holiday Inn express. The only downside is the feeling and appearance of the halls leading to the guest rooms, but once you are inside you can relax and have some rest.
The staff was courteous and responsive. I guess the breakfast could have more and better choices but overall was a good experience.

I have stayed many times at the Solana Beach HI. I know the area and enjoy the location as it close to many things to do. I paid for the rooms in advance via the on-line booking process. Much to my surprise I was given a suite with a large tub. My stay was enhanced by the staff who were helpful and friendly.

Great Staff. Clean and updated lobby and common areas. Pool is small but serviceable. Complimentary Upgrade to a suite as an HIE Rewards member, but the room could have a "fresher" look to it.
