The 10 Best IHG Hotels for Golf

Based on Verified Guest Reviews

For golfers, the hotel can make or break the trip — a great course on the doorstep turns a stay into a holiday, while a long drive to the first tee ruins the morning. We ranked these ten from verified IHG reviews, weighting how often guests praised the golf, the course access and the surrounding setting, and how warmly. From a championship layout in Fiji to a relaxed course that delighted a family, these are the hotels golfers come back to.

I visit this place twice a year, and the main reason is the fantastic golf course located right at the hotel – it is absolutely top-tier and a joy to play.

The cities to plan a golf trip around

Golfers know the destinations worth the journey. Scottsdale and Phoenix offer desert courses and near-guaranteed sunshine, while Myrtle Beach packs more courses into one stretch of coast than almost anywhere in America. Orlando pairs serious golf with everything else a family could want, and across the Atlantic, Edinburgh sits at the heart of Scotland's links heritage — the home of the game. Dublin makes a strong case for Irish golf, with championship links a short drive in almost any direction.

IHG brands that look after golfers

Holiday Inn runs the broadest range of golf-adjacent properties, from full resort courses to mountain-view layouts and family putt-putt — a brand that understands golf trips come in every shape, from the serious foursome to the family afternoon.

InterContinental pairs championship-caliber courses with full resort luxury, as at its Fiji property, where the round is treated as part of a complete, high-end escape rather than a standalone activity.

Staybridge Suites suits the golf traveler who wants space and a kitchen, frequently sited on or beside courses — an ideal long-stay base for a golfing week, with the quiet that a club setting brings.
