Terrible experience

I stay at a lot of IHG properties and this by far was the worst. The property was dirty, there was mold in the room (didn’t notice until last night), toiletry holder in shower broken, the linens were tattered and had holes, the refrigerator worked but the sofa rack was broken, the safe was locked so could not utilize, no Kleenex, toilet paper, or cups for coffee left in the room. I tried calling the front desk 3 times from the room phone, 3 times I tried calling the hotel from my phone, and finally I had to call the main 800 number to IHG to get toilet paper. I had just showered and dressed for bed so was in no position to walk down. The front desk staff was always on their phone with propped at the desk or sitting on a side sofa and little to no acknowledgment when you entered or exited. The coffee area in the lobby had one machine broken, the coffee they had was not hot, and the refrigerator cooler for items was always empty except a few bottles of something on the top shelf.
I used points for this stay and am very upset to have wasted those points. I was in town to assist my daughter with final touches for her wedding and was out of the room most of the time…THANK GOD.
Do yourself a favor and pick any other property in the area. There are plenty and the pictures they have online is NOT what you are getting.

Enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Was lots of fun . The fire place outside was the best .And the beds were very comfortable and clean. Shampoo also smelled good.

The hotel is conveniently located and quiet. Hotel was clean and very comfortable. The rooms are decorated in a modern theme and you have plenty of room. I really like that it is a stand alone shower with no tub. It also had a rain shower head. Recommend this for a good stay.

Worst experience with this hotel brand. I’ve stayed at other EVEN hotels and have had amazing experiences which is why I booked here. I had to switch rooms twice due to stained sheets. The sheets also had hair underneath the covers and pillowcases, which made me doubt if the room was clean since housecleaning appeared to be taking shortcuts. I had to go buy my own cleaning supplies to be able to stay the second night just to get through my stay.
No TV, no one cared

TV didn't work. No one told me. They didn't seem to care. Management never got in touch with me. Over charged my card for my stay. Would not recommend.
Good hotel, bad security

My vehicle was broken in to and some items were stolen. My driver's windows was knocked out and I had to drive 5 hours in the rain to get home. This is the first time something like this has ever happened to while staying at your hotels. I am very skeptical about staying at your hotel again.

We have stayed here several times and usually have a near-perfect stay. This time, we had one problem that took longer to resolve than we liked, but it was eventually resolved. Our toilet did not flush completely when we arrived. We didn't understand it was an issue until the next morning. We reported the issue to the front desk, but it was not resolved that day. So, we had night #2 with a partially working toilet. The third day it was fixed. We enjoyed the rest of the stay. The location is great for our visits to our granddaughter and her parents.

This was an unexpected stay but I am glad to have gotten a room at Even. Then cleanliness of the hotel and my room exceeded my expectations! I noted the use of a filtered water and ice machine on my floor. Love that Even is being environmentally friendly! Check in was quick and staff was very friendly and helpful in recommending a few restaurants near by.
Would no longer recommend this hotel.

I’ve been visiting this hotel for almost 3 years now, and unfortunately, it seems to have gotten worse. I don’t necessarily have any issues with their staff, just the cleanliness of the hotel in general. On our first night, we had to move rooms because the humidity in the room was so bad that the floors were slick and there was also an awkward smell in the room. We got to our second room which was directly above the original, and there was some weird gray substance on the table that sits under the TV. Come to find out that it looks like it was dust being kicked through the AC unit and onto the table. I brought it up to the staff and housekeeping, took care of cleaning it, but did not fully get rid of this substance/dust; it was still a problem the next day.
Again, the staff is kind. But, if you’re looking for a clean quality hotel, I would not recommend Even. I was also told after letting the front desk know about the issues that we would have full turnover service that next morning, and after returning to our room that afternoon, all that was taken care of was new towels, and some of the dust being cleaned up from the table. The bed was not made, and the soap dispensers in the shower were not refilled.

Rooms are clean, staff was courteous and the food good/reasonably priced. It is also close to most destinations we plan to visit. For the aforementioned reasons we choose to stay at the Shenandoah site multiple times
