Maybe it's just the size of Texas but this hotel was tucked away for the beaten path. Still convenient from HOU Hobby. This is the first IHG site that asked us for our room numbers while putting food on our plate. Maybe we looked a bit worn out because we just got off a dirty 12 hour job and were trying to get some food. Working these nightshifts is not always the greatest mix with the hotel industry. This just might have been them thinking we were transients trying to get some food, who knows, I did not take offense to it. Just was questioning the reasoning.

We had a wonderful time here. The front desk and housekeeping staff was friendly and exceptional. The hotel is located in a good part of the town and we always felt safe. It is located near restaurants and grocery stores! We loved our stay here!!

I was not recognized as a priority member even had to show my card which I have not done in years. When I spoke to young lady next morning the person that checked me in did not show on my check in that was a member of IHG. The shade in my room would not close. I asked to be on backside of hotel and thus did not happen. The hotel faces a Main Street but I was told by person checking me in that it does not. I realize it’s not right on the main road but close enough to hear the loud traffic and the room he gave me faced that road.
When I returned late evening the clerk at desk was so involved with her cell phone she did not even acknowledge I came in I watched her until I got to elevator and she was still consumed with her phone.
Breakfast choices are getting worse at Holiday Inn.

Customer service was excellent, rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable and breakfast was good. Overall had a great stay here and enjoyed the other amenities!

Slow check-in and no room service

I’ll start by saying I’ve traveled domestically and internationally multiple times staying at IHG hotels and this is by far the worst experience I’ve had. Check-in took about 25 minutes. The guest before me had made special requests for adjoining rooms and it was not annotated. Instead, their rooms were not available due to a maintenance issue but no one called them to notify them. Once I was called up to check-in, another guest after me also took about 20 minutes to check in. During our stay, we noticed our room was not serviced at all because our beds were not made and trash not emptied. After requesting our towles be replaced, we left for the day and found upon our return that our towels weee still on the bathroom floor. We had to go to the front desk to once again request towels. When we went to the swimming pool, there were also no swimming pool towels stocked. Another minor complaint is that the coffee during breakfast was not monitored that well and had to go into the back room to request more coffee.

I love the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Missouri City,Texas it is very convenient to my family members and to shopping areas. It’s clean and comfortable.

Poor Customer Loyalty. Do not get sick and have to cancel a reservation, you will not get your money back.

Unfortunately, I reserved this through IHG website and did not notice that it was a 'Pre-paid reservation.' This basically means that you will not get your money back if you have to cancel the reservation.

Two days before check-in, my children both picked up strep from their daycare. I called and tried to cancel with no success. I would not receive a refund due to Policies and the type of reservation I made.

I was told by the front desk (there was no manager available for the two days I tried to cancel.) , a guy named JR, "Sorry about your bad luck. No refunds due to our policies." After this conversation, I received an email thanking me for checking in and to please rate my check-in experience!"

Awesome stuff. I will never stay at an IHG hotel based on this experience. :(

I stay at this hotel every month when I'm in town for business. Everyone is very friendly and wants to make my stay comfortable.
