Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The Employees make the stay This is a good hotel with a great location and even better staff, they make it so much easier to accept 12$ drinks and 8$ beer. It's a hard price to pay knowing the employees make 150$ a week for 6 days work...... 22 February 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lounge Experience Most of the time, service was adequate. On Sunday, when all the guests showed up about 10 am for breakfast, the Lounge was crowded, out of plates, out of juice and out of food. It was not a pleasant sight and the staff tried very hard to cope. I think Management should consider alternate ways to disperse traffic like sending some to the main dinning room, room service for your regular/special guests or have extra service staff to speed up turn around time. 20 February 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Room cleanliness and air conditioning The A/C was not cooling the room. We asked three times for assistance and each time we had someone go to the room and change the thermostat . The first time it was set at 18C the room never got below 22C but stayed mostly at 23C. The second time it was set at 10C the room never got below 22.5C. The third time it was set at 18C it didn't get any better overnight. We left the next morning. Our room must have been an office for a staple puller. The first night there, we each step on a staple embedded in the carpet. I pulled about 20 from the carpet and they were presented to guest services. They were going to rerun vacuum etc. We pulled about 4 or 5 more each of the next two days and never took our shoes off in the room. The carpet should be pulled and replaced. The hallway carpet is generally poorly swept at the end of the hall near the room we were in also. The sweeper must have been tired. And to top all of this off, service in the restaurant is close to nonexistent. I would like a cup of coffee. Tough to get. 20 February 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location, value and service Our day at the INtercontinental after a long time to get there was awesome! We were greeted and treated like special guests. The food was exceptional and the front desk amazingly helpful with recommendations for touring and general questions. A great kick-off day to a Costa Rican adventure. 19 February 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast Our first group trip ever overseas. We were with Trafalgar and stayed only one night Feb. 6. The breakfast was elegant, delicious, best on the whole trip! Definitely helped make a memory for our 50th anniversary in March! 19 February 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Valentines weekend Nice hotel, great sleep! not so good service on restaurants, a bit slow. Breakfast on Sunday at clubtower was a real challenge, as food was not enough, some guests left without breakfast. 18 February 2015
