To receive points for Qualifying Stays, book through IHG Worldwide Reservation Offices, IHG websites, the IHG One Rewards app, authorised travel agents*, or directly with the hotel. Be sure your IHG One Rewards member number is added to your reservation and that you have selected PAYBACK °Points as your earning preference, which is located in the Member Profile.

*This excludes online travel agents such as Expedia.com and Booking.com, as well as unauthorised agents on online vertical travel portals.

If IHG One Rewards members change their earning preferences to PAYBACK °Points — located in My Account > Settings > Preferences > Earning Preferences — they can earn 1 PAYBACK °Point per 2 Euros spent on Eligible Charges during Qualifying Stays at participating IHG Hotels & Resorts properties worldwide.

Eligible Charges must be charged to the member’s room, and can include food and beverage, telephone, laundry, and in-room movies. Eligible Charges and °Points earnings may vary by hotel brand and location. Members cannot earn points on food and beverage if they are not staying at the hotel.

You can earn PAYBACK °Points at all IHG hotels participating in the IHG One Rewards programme, IHG Army Hotels, and IHG Residences, as long as you’re enrolled in IHG One Rewards and have set your earning preference to PAYBACK °Points.

Within 5 days of booking, members who have their earning preference set to PAYBACK will see the estimated blocked °Points earn reflected in their PAYBACK account. The actual unblocked °Points will be added to the member’s PAYBACK account within 5 days after the check-out date. The estimated blocked °Points will be removed from the PAYBACK account 5 days after check-out date. You can check your °Points balance through your PAYBACK My Account page.

IHG One Rewards points do not expire for Elite members. For Club members, points expire after 1 year of points inactivity. Members can view their IHG One Rewards points expiration date in their member profile on IHG.com.

PAYBACK °Points expire 3 years after earning if not redeemed. Members can view their expiration date in their account on the PAYBACK website.

No, PAYBACK °Points cannot currently be exchanged for IHG One Rewards points.
