The hotel and staff were excellent in many way. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I like the hotel very much except a 0315 almost every weekday morning when a truck would come and empty the dumpster. I was never able to sleep through the noise of the can being dumped and dropped. I made sure I closed all the curtains to reduce the noise but nothing helped. Not sure why they had to come so early and I hope something could be done to make it later when I stay here again. I definitely liked the hotel to stay again next time I am in the area but I remember to bring ear plugs.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AZ_Solar Decent place for a week long stay as long as quality service is not a priority for you.
Hotel itself was pretty nice. I recommend based on that alone.
I was surprised by the breakfast and dinner meals that were provided a few days out of the week! Not sure how they determined which days they were providing food since it wasn't every day. But it was really nice to arrive after a long day of work and find Jason's Deli or sandwiches from Dominoes!
During the entire week I was never greeted by any of the staff on my way out or in to the hotel. Not once. The times I did go to the front desk the employees were either hiding out of view or would see you approaching and would turn there backs to you and go file paperwork or disappear around the corner while you had to stand there and wait for them to finish. Sorry to bother you! No one was rude but they where definately indifferent and did not look happy to be working there. Maybe it is just an El Paso thing but I was not impressed. I can see this happening once in awhile but it was like this an entire week with every single staffer.
Maybe it is just me, but after a long day it is nice to arrive at your hotel and see a friendly happy face who is polite and says hello instead of someone who avoids the customers. If I could have given this staff zero stars I would have. Unfortunately you have to give them at least one. : (
I am an IHG platinum member and was never offered a snack or points at check in and was never offered a room upgrade. The staff obviously could care less about that program.
Next time I may drive the extra 15 minutes and stay at the Holiday Inn Express.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bobm333 Great location outside El Paso proper
Great mountain views in a suburban environment with the typical Candlewood Suites amenties just north of El Paso proper. Avoids the congestion of the city without going out of your way when traveling on I-10.
