Worst Experience in my history as IHG member for more than 15 years

Simply the worst hotel from the IHG chain that i know. Its old, its dirty, my bathroom floor was full of hair when i got to the room,THERES NO HOT WATER not even warm, and when u call the front desk they say the have a problem with a pipe and they are working on it, i read other reviews and i noticed the pipe situation is the answer always for the lack of hot water, the service is bad they don't care or try to give u a solution or apologize , i couldn't sleep even a minute that night people were screaming and running on that lie all night .
simply the worst night
If i could ask for a refund I definitely will do it

Renovation In Progress

This hotel is under renovation. It is loud and a work zone which impacts the cleanliness of the rooms and general meeting areas. The hotel over booked upon my stay and had many guests in the lobby trying to make alternate plans, which included traveling out of downtown to find a hotel. It was during the Gift Show when hotels tend to book downtown.

Exactly what I neeed

The hotel feels like an older hotel that management has worked hard to bring up to date. The rooms felt a bit worn but were generally clean. The soap was really nice though the shampoo and lotion are pretty strongly scented. They provided a relaxation/sleep kit (lotion, air spray) that was nice.

The fitness center is small but with new, working machines. The staff was a highlight - friendly, kind, and helpful! Free internet was much appreciated though free breakfast would have been a nice added bonus.

There is some outside noise (near the hospital and busy roads) so keep that in mind if you're a light sleeper. Being close to the North Ave. MARTA station is a plus!

Very Disappointing


January 16, 2015

We stayed here during the AmericasMart for 6 nights and it was so disappointing. It was an extremely cold week in ATL (lows in the teens) and we had cold to room temp water all week. I had to go to the tiny gym to work up a sweat so I could take a quick shower.

The food at the bar was great as was the bartender. The lobby was extremely cold though- a fireplace of some type would be a great addition.

The front desk did give us a 20% discount for the cold water but I had to fight for it...they wanted to give me free breakfast for one day. Haha. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone exhibiting at AmericasMart. Not the best walk and the shuttles are always full.

Dear WCG1981, I would like to begin by thanking you for your constructive feedback pertaining to your recent visit at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Midtown. I would like to sincerely apologize for the lack of hot water while visiting with us. We are in the midst of a full renovation, and our piping system is our number one priority we will update and modernize. We will also be doing a complete renovation of our lobby area. A fireplace does sound like a neat ideal, and I will be sure to pass it on to our Design team. However we are currently implementing a plan of action to assist with the hot water until we have renovated that system. I can understand your hesitation with wanting to come and visit with us again. I can assure you that we will be well through our renovation process by the time Gift Mart in July comes along.
