I booked through the crown plaza toll free number I found online with our credit card after being ensured by the customer service operator that there was a microwave and refrigerator in the room I felt confident that we would have everything we needed to comfortably travel with our baby. Not only did I ask her twice if she was sure both would be in our room but asked her to make sure she made a note of it. There was no microwave, which would have been fine if I had of planned for there not to be one.
When given the rate of the hotel I asked if there was a CAA discount which there was and discounted the room by around $10.00 from the rate we were given. When we looked at the bill after arriving home I notice we were charged an additional $10 for an additional person. When I called the hotel the next day an explanation was attempted stating that the rate I was given was a single occupancy rate, I was not informed of any such thing by the representative and was given the total before hanging up the phone and it did not include an additional charge of $10. I also explained to the hotel the misinformation about the microwave and to be honest the rooms were nice but in need of a serious dust cloth. They then tried to explain it away by stating I was talking to a third party call center it wasnt the hotel that gave me the wrong information, I called the toll free number online for Crown Plaza so regardless who they had answer that phone to me I was talking to a Crown Plaza representative who should have accurate hotel information. I was told a manager would call me the next day, it has been almost a week and I have heard from no one. Beware of misinformation when booking as well check your bill they obviously try to sneak in some extra person charges! I am calling the hotel back today such Poor customer service!!! Positive: pool area was nice and down town location was very nice,

I recently stayed at the hotel with a group of friends. We were greeted with fresh cookies and the room was very spacious and clean. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

Everyone at the Hotel were pleasant to deal with and accommodated all my requirements. The room service / food was excellent and the choice between a nice restaurant or an Irish Pub within the same facilities offers you all the convenience without the need to go outside. The exercise room is a nice size / open and pool; both conveniently located off the main floor.
Will return again.

I've stayed at this hotel each of the previous three weeks. On the 4th week, I came in on a Tuesday forgetting to make the reservation. I figured since I knew some of the front desk people, and since I'm Gold status there wouldn't be an issue looking up my old bookings and just using that as a template from which to create my reservation for the stay.
Boy was I wrong. The person at the front desk said "all the rooms are full". I let her know I was a repeat customer with status and was told there was nothing they could do. Basically "go away". I then asked if they were "SURE" since most hotels hold 10-15% inventory open to accommodate such requests. I was told they're booked full.
Then I went over to a chair a few steps away, logged into the IHG website, and booked my room for the next couple of nights.
Then I took 6 steps back to the front desk and said "checking in".
The woman behind the counter was astonished and then gave me their smallest room.
So what we have here is someone behind the desk that doesn't know what they're doing and - worse - either lied to me or, for retribution reasons, put me in the smallest (worst) room in the hotel. I don't believe for a second the hotel was booked as I had multiple room choices to pick from on the website.
All I can say is this is horrible customer service for a repeat customer. I must admit I am questioning my loyalty to this brand.

I was extremely pleased with the service provided by staff at the Fredericton Lord Beaverbrook. The staff in the restaurant in particular were extremely friendly, gracious and efficient. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Its location in the downtown is very convenient.

For me location of this hotel is the biggest advantage over other hotels in Fredericton. It is the only hotel located in the center of downtown with dinning options/bars in this small town this is a huge plus. While the hotel is a bit outdated, it is still quite adequate though I would still put more lighting the rooms as they are pretty dark after sunset. Over all pretty good experience, & staff are very welcoming.

My stay at Crown Plaza was excellent.The quietness...the cookies....the comfy bed and wonderful pillows....the staff...front desk/ resturant/room atttendents.....very friendly and professional.
I am looking forward to my next stay!
