Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by NO PARKING! When I checked in I was informed that there might not be any parking at the Hotel over the weekend. Even though they had secured 28 extra parking spots at a rival hotel, I still couldn't be guaranteed that I would have a spot. I had to leave my car at my parents house and get a drive to and from the Hotel each night and morning. I figured out that they were doing parking arcarde improvements but who didn't think through the timing of this project. Who at the Hotel thought it was a good idea to fix and improve the parking garage, during the winter when it was artic cold weather outside, and the winter parking ban is on so even if you found a parking meter on the road you couldn't park there without being ticketed! Anyone ever hear about a Critical Path Plan! Unless the parking arrangement and shortages were fixed, I wouldn't stay there again. January 30, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great 3 Night Stay! Large rooms, very clean. Staff were friendly, helpful and genuine. They went out of their way to help carry bags, suggest local restaurants, provide extra towels, and open the play room so my son could play:) Keurig was a nice added touch and even coffee tea station by the elevator in the afternoon was nice. I wish the Crowne would consider providing a continental breakfast though...and the parkade was closed, but the parkade is scary anyway. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to be downtown Moncton. Lots of window shopping and things to do in warmer weather, but since we were there in the bitter cold (and a snowstorm) we didnt wander to far outside. There is a Tim Hortons a few blocks away:) And a McDonalds not far down the street. The highlight of our trip for my 4yr old was the playroom and watching the train go by from our 6th floor room. (We live on PEI where there are no trains.) January 9, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by New Years Eve We were 3 couples ranging in age from 50 to 64. Our rooms were in a block of 3 on the 3 rd floor.After checking in and settling in our rooms we open the 3 doors and the men met in the middle room and the ladies pulled up 2 chairs from the hall and had a drink. New Years Eve 4:45 pm. Not a half hour went by that the conceige told us we weren't allowed in the all. I've stayed at many Hotels and this is a first. We weren't playing loud music and screaming. Chatting amongs friends....Very disappointing ! But,it was ok to be woke up by people screaming and laughing for about an hour outside my room at 3:00 in the morning. I didn't call the front desk because of being New Years,,,,, January 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel was overall good Our stay there was adequate, two nights stay, rooms were comfortable and clean the only downfall was the parking. The parking is an absolute nightmare, small cars only in underground parking, very poorly marked 6' clearance. outside is an absolute maze, one way in and out. arrows show in and that's it. cement barricades everywhere with no rhyme or reason to placement. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lori Overrated! The room we stayed in was over the ballroom, there was a function on the night of our stay, the music was so loud our bed vibrated until 1:00 am. The view was a roof with duct work. The room was the size of a closet. 4 of us in the room and no room to move around. Had no floor space to even place an overnight bag. There were fancy sprays and sleepy cream on the bed??!! The only thing I liked for was a bit of mouthwash and a shower cap. The room did not provide either. The glasses in the bathroom were sitting on the vanity NOT COVERED! Gross. I just think they are trying to be a fancy hotel with an inflated price tag and they are missing the mark! December 11, 2013
