The best girlie weekend away we could ask for, everything was perfect from the room to the buffet breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. This was a very hard thing as a mother, but the staff made us feel so welcome and did everything they could to help us enjoy the stay. Everyone was so friendly and really took the time to talk to us and make sure we were happy. We will definately be going back!!! February 18, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overall value. Fair Great location.. Terrigal beach is pristine. Overall the Hotel has been recently refurbished, tastefully. However the value for money is held in the view.. I would have expected more. Car parking was an additional charge, as was breakfast. Can get better deals in the city 5 star hotels. The nite club downstairs needs to be shut down earlier or sound proofed. February 15, 2013

The breakfast was delicious. The nearby coast was amazing. The pool area of the hotel was less enjoyable (green should be added), but that made us explore the beautiful beaches more. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Short Breaks Terrigal is just an hour and half from Sydney. Great place to escape to for a break. Beach is across the road, if the beach is not for you there is the pool area. It does get a little busy during the summer holidays. Good selection for breakfast. Comfortable beds and good service. Always return each year. February 12, 2013

I was really annoyed that I picked up a towel in the bath room and it had brown skid marks on it like someone had wiped them selves folded it up and put it back.... When I mentioned it to staff they didn't really care... I had to come back days later so I mentioned it to Denise who checked me in. She was very apologetic and upgraded my room. I have to ask why the other staff were so dismissive the first time... Not a great hotel, but serves a purpose. February 6, 2013

Unfortunately it rained and rained during our stay, but it was such a welcoming atmosphere that the rain didn't dampen our mini break. The breakfast is spectular and the staff are the nicest on the planet. It was also nice to see familiar faces working behind the desk, obviously it must be a great place to work too. February 4, 2013

The public areas were a bit lacking in attention. the hand rails in the lift were greasy and dirty and were the same the next day. We were celebrating our 40th Wedding anniversary on the day of our stay, we met at the old Florida hotel which was demolished to make room for the Crowne Plaza, so we felt we had a bit of a connection. The weather was atrocious which took the shine off the stay, not the hotels fault. We were a bit disappointed when we rolled up to the Restaurant, without a reservation, on a wet Monday night with about 15 patrons seated and were told we could not be accommodated. We dined at the Public Bar (Florida Bar) and had a very enjoyable meal however it closed at 9 pm so we ended up watching a movie on TV. If the weather had been better we may have had a different perception of our stay, but from this experience we will not be rushing back. February 4, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bit of a disappointment We stayed for 3 days on the Australia Day long weekend. The hotel was very busy and the weather poor for 2 of those days, so this must be factored into my review. Access to beach and restaurants was brilliant. However on the rainy days there really is little to do in Terrigal and the hotel provides very little for teens (or adults for that matter) to do. They advertised a games room which comprised 1 table tennis table and that was it. Each morning the queue for breakfast was well out the door of the restaurant - however the food buffet was good. But you also had to queue if you wanted a cofffee. The Florida Bar downstairs was noisy and very crowded - we thought this would be a nice cheaper option to eat, but it really was just a pub. The Lord Ashley Bar was a nice place to have a drink in the evening, however only one staff member was on the bar, and the wait was quite long to get a drink. We didnt think this was fair on the staff member as he really was doing his best. He was unable to wipe or clear tables after people had eaten snacks in there. There were also a few children eating toasted sandwiches in there in the evening by themselves - not really appropriate in a bar at night time. The reception staff and housekeeping staff were wonderful. February 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spoilt I stayed here with my 21 yo girls for some indulgent mummy time and got just that. Beach across the road. Service was impeccable. Room was catered right down to supplying you with slippers, robes, toothbrush, paste, razors, everything. It was so nice to go to breakfast and come back to a tidy clean room. You cannot go past the buffet breakfast. Sumptious and even beats Sheraton On the Park Sydney who could take a few lessons from Crowne Plaza Terrigal. Thank you January 31, 2013

The staff were amazing (especially Denise at the front desk) and the facilities at the hotel were first class. We scored a great deal that included breakfast. The location is fantastic and we spent our time moving between the pool and the beach. Even though it was the school holidays and the hotel was apparently running at full capacity - it didn't feel crowded or affect the level of service. I intend to return to this hotel whenever I can. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Considerate staff We arrived on the day of 47 degree heat, at 10am knowing that we couldn't get into our rooms untill 2pm we went to the beach and the staff called us as soon as a room was available which was great to get out of the heat. Even though the pool was packed it was very considerate to let us into the airconditioning rooms which were spot less. Thank you we has a wonderful time January 26, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Great for a young family Hi There, Recently my wife and I with our 2 kids under 7 years stayed at Terrigal. It was a most relaxing and refreshing stay for all 4 of us. Kids could play in the pool or the nearby beach and rock pool. Whilst us adults were happy to have a breather whist the kids took part in the complimentary Kids Club. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Welcome smile :) We were welcomed with a lovely smile and it set the tone for the two night 're-connect' stay we had booked in. We have a soon to be three year old and we are two devoted mums who never leave the house anymore. My mother took our son for two nights and sent us off to Crowne to have some 'us' time. Highly recommend Crowne Terrigal - only downside was lousy shower and room service! But a wonderful time overall :) January 16, 2013

The staff could not keep up with the number of people using facilities, so the place was left dirty. The rooms were not soundproof, so I could hear the people next door.... So loudly I could hear conversations. There were guests smoking throughout the hotel, even in the non smoking area where I was staying. I would not choose to stay there again. January 16, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Service was totally unsatisfactory The Hotel is in a wonderful position but the service was completely inadequate for the numbers of guests in the hotel. We stayed during a very busy time, peak season and the hotel is absolutely unable to offer the service which we would have expected for the hotel. Their were so many guests in the pool that one was swimming almost shoulder to shoulder with other guests. We ordered lunch at the nearby bar to the pool and it tool 20 minutes just to reach the top of the line to order the food. It then took 1 and a half hours for the food to arrive. This is totally unacceptable for a hotel which is appealing to families on holiday. At the coffee bar at breakfast, we had to wait in a long line to order and receive coffees. Totally unacceptable and inadequate. If you cannot cope with the numbers of guests at this time, the price should be altered so that we don't feel absolutely robbed by this lack of value. One suggestion to further enhance guests experience is to introduce a priority queue for in-house guests at Florida Beach Bar. From the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out we received exceptional customer service. Every person we dealt with was friendly and obliging. Our rooms were exactly as we had asked for and were cool and immaculate ( we were ther during the heat wave). We would return in a heat beat. January 15, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing stay I've stayed here before and it's been fine. On this occasion though, we stayed for 3 nights and we were very disappointed. Despite being a Platinum member, we were given the room directly above their kids club, which was noisy. The room wasn't great, but we put up with it after asking for a change when we first checked in and getting knocked back. We couldnt get a booking for dinner when we first arrived, for the following night. We were given a list of names and numbers of key people to contact in the hotel if they could be of assistance to us, as they stated that they looked after their Platinum members, but when we rang all three we couldnt get onto even one of them. Our room never got serviced before three o clock every day. One day, it was closer to five. The staff are great though. Very friendly and an excellent to deal with. I think its the management roles in this hotel which needs to lift its game. January 13, 2013

I told the call centre person that I was a Priority Club member and asked if there were any specials coming up - the answer was 'no'. To my surprise the next week I received an email saying they had a special of 10% off and a free breakfast - I rang twice to enquire if ths could apply to our booking - no-one returned my call. I also specifically asked for a room overlooking the pool and the front (not the side rooms looking up the hill). So, we were surprised that we were allocated the room we specifically said we didn't want - I was happy that we were moved to a better room. Also, no points are on my balance for my membership. I am involved in organizing conferences (we booked Terrigal in September 12) and now feel reticent about returning. The day spa was excellent - I would highly recommend it. January 13, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by poor view, noisy room, unfulfilled request "Seaview' in a premium room was legally a technically correct description - but in reality was sideways and partial and overlooking what soon becomes a noisy kids' playground. We were given interconnecting family room with poor soundproofing. Family next door returned at 1.30pm and continued laughing and talking (all clearly audible from under the door) until 4.30 am. TV control needed new batteries. Charming maid went away with control and returned to say someone from downstairs wd come and replace battery.However, no one ever returned. Overall a poor and disappointing stay....we wont be bothering you or yr group again. Disappointed previous customer January 9, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely property but not for privacy We have been visiting the Crown plaza terrigal for the past 4 years enjoying the celebrations of New Years Eve. We have been fortunate enough to secure the same room for the past 4 years. We love this room as it is quiet and private. However as the years have passed, we have noticed the number of young families who stay at the property. As we have nothing against young families enjoying the plaza, it has become increasingly noisy and loud due to the volume of young children. As much as we love kids, we are past that stage and really look forward to peace and quiet. Waking up to the early morning echos of young children and babies ( with their parents) in the pool, is not for us any more. Not complaining just commenting on the changes with more and more young families participating in the festivities. Perhaps it is time for us to find something quieter and relaxing, starting to sound like my parents but hey, I get what they mean't. No offence just geting older.... January 7, 2013
