Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel Stay Overall it is a good hotel. We have stayed here a number of times in the past. The restaurant seems to have gone down hill a little. We had an issue with our meal, however the waitress who was the only girl bartending and waitressing made it good. She did a great job handling both. Another small issue was at checkin. The girl was very friendly and gave us info and directions, but we did not receive a welcome bag (Breakfast certificate, water, etc.) December 21, 2014

We knew we would be satisfied with this hotel beginning with the booking of our room and the way our specific requests were granted. Our room was very clean and inviting. Check out was a breeze. Our only suggestion would be to begin breakfast earlier than 7:00 AM on the weekends. Thank you for making our stay so great! December 15, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Parties and Rooms We've stayed at this hotel at least 3-4 times over the years and are IHG rewards club members. I would strongly suggest that you decide whether booking holiday parties or allowing paying guests to sleep are your priorities. We were given a room overlooking the atrium - what a mistake. It was after midnight when I called the first night to complain about the noise. We were asked if we wanted to move. Looking back, we should have said yes, but we were already in bed. The second night, the phones weren't working so I had to get dressed and go downstairs - it must have been around 11:30 p.m. - to complain. The partygoers had spilled out of the room and into the hallway and atrium, screaming, singing and loud. The bass in the party band was so loud that our hearts were pounding. The music did quiet down, but the partygoers did not - and then around 1:00 a.m., the music started creeping up again, as did the screamers. We got up the next morning after minimal sleep and complained to the front desk. They assured us that a manager would be in touch. So far, nothing. If you are hosting parties, the block of rooms for those staying over should be the rooms overlooking the atrium, so they can keep each other awake if they choose. We came for the Wine Tour Weekend, which we've enjoyed several times. At this time, we will refrain from staying at the Auburn Holiday Inn again. And that's too bad - it is centrally located, the refurbished rooms are wonderful and we are familiar with the area. And the pub is very nice - great food, wonderful service. However, being charged for a "holiday weekend" when we probably slept a total of 6 hours over two nights - and had a 6 hour drive home - is completely not acceptable. I hope you consider our comments for future guests. We will not promote staying there. December 9, 2014
